    • Here's what I'd do, assuming the following pitchers are ready to be added in this order, and that Suarez makes one more start this Sunday.  1. Means activated, Irvin to the bullpen to act as our much-needed long reliever. Ramirez DFA'd.  2. Perez activated, Akin optioned. This allows them to get a look at Perez without losing Baumann for now. I think the O's are wary of DFAing Baumann this early in the season, as much as some of us would like to see it. 3. Bradish activated, Suarez moved to bullpen, Tate optioned. O's try Suarez as a strikeout-oriented late(ish) inning guy. If that doesn't work out, Tate can come back up. But I think it should be a priority to find a reliever who can get Ks against RHP in the backend of the bullpen.  Tough calls and none of them are guaranteed to work honestly. But this would let them take a look at Means, Perez, and Bradish (and Suarez in the pen) without the risk of losing anyone except Ramirez. Can Perez and Suarez be as successful as Akin and Tate? Extremely debatable, admittedly. But I think the O's will hedge towards keeping everybody, and kicking tougher decisions down the road a little.  What would you do?
    • When did anyone call EBJ an advanced college bat?   Cowser and Kjerstad were advanced college bats.   EBJ was drafted for his speed and defense with the hope they could develop the bat.  It’s too early to draw conclusions but it was always doubtful that he would breeze through the minors. Having said that, no way I would extend Mullins.  @Bemorewins  hit the nail on the head.
    • Kyle Bradish adjacent, and discovering more about baseball gift Mason Miller, it turns out he so far is a successful non-surgical recovery from a mild UCL sprain diagnosed last year in May. He had made four starts early on before the injury.    Game log shows final start was May 7th, and he got back as a reliever September 6th.
    • Sunday's starter for the O's is TBD.    Suarez or Means.   The choice is really about who Elias/Hyde want to start vs the Yankees.    Means may be good enough to beat the A's saving Suarez for the first game vs the Yankees.   GRod, Kremer, and Burnes could follow.   They probably don't want Irvin pitching vs the Yankees because his career OPS vs them is 924. The other consideration is that if Bradish pitches well in Norfolk tonight he could be available to pitch vs the Yankees.   But having his first game back in the majors vs the Yankees may not be the best idea.   Pitching vs the Reds is no picnic but its probably easier than facing the Yankees. That brings up who is in the rotation if Means and Bradish are both back.  Irvin is an easy move to the pen but that still leaves Burnes, GRod, Bradish,  Kremer and Means who are mainly starters.  Suarez has relieved in the past but how do you take a guy with a 0.00 ERA out of the rotation? There are things yet to happen including Means, Bradish and Suarez effectiveness in their up coming starts.
    • My ideal scenario was to trade Mullins and sign Jung Hoo Lee.
