I will say I think sending Holliday down right now is a bit premature. His last game, he had some promising at bats. I'm not saying he looked like Ken Griffey Jr. out there or whatever but he was starting to look better and I was looking forward to seeing if he could build on that during the A's series. Had he struggled through the Yankees series at the same rate, I'd have been more understanding. But, whatever. Hopefully he figures it out and gets back up here soon.

Yeah, I'd keep Suarez in the rotation as long as he's producing. It's nice to have some options coming along with Bradish and hopefully Means. I'm under no illusion that it'll fix the bullpen completely but it's a good start.

No, because no one had him ranked that high. If you were picking at the top of the draft like us or somewhere near the top, you could have picked your guy (we took Adley) and still had a shot at Gunnar later. That's how it played out for us. It could have played out that way for someone else if they had the #1 pick and took Adley and then still had a shot at Gunnar later, too.

Not rooting for injuries, but also not sad about Gelof going down. He murdered our pitching last year. Oakland's probaby tougher than they appear to be. Just like the Angels series, 2/3 is always the goal but it feels like the must-do goal in this situation.

It's been well noted that Kimbrel isn't great at holding runners and can be run on. Given Adell's 91% sprint speed (yes, I know stolen base technique is something else altogether) I thought letting him run wasn't a bad move. He had a hell of a jump, I was surprised that the play was as close as it was.
