  1. Do the Orioles know it's allowed to get hit in the first 2 or 3 innings of a game?
  2. If Povich is not brought up then it actually means good news. They probably don't expect Kremer to miss more than a few weeks, similar to Grayson.
  3. Well as an early guy on Young pre-TJ, I'm glad to see him back and throwing well. I still need to see more swing and miss on the breaking balls but the change can be a real weapon. I have him at the bottom of my top 30 right now because I just need to see more on the breaking ball, see him getting deeper into games, and staying healthy over 120 innings or so.
  4. They'd be below him for sure. Markakis had a pure hit tool and the hope was he would develop more power. He ended up with more doubles power than HR power, but he was obviously a good pick with a great career. Both Fabian and Beavers are holding their hold, but still give 4th outfielder vibes though I like Beavers more because of the better hit tool and plate discipline. I just don't know if he brings enough hit tool or power to be an everyday guy. Fabian mashes lefties so he looks like a McKenna type guy who still could turn into more.
  5. That's pretty much how I see it. By the rule book based on that video @Moose Milligan posted, the runner was rightfully called out. Now, in that situation where the runner clearly was not attempting to impede the fielder and the batter was already out whether Henderson makes the catch or not, no way I think that call should have been made. Seems that they need to tighten up the rule book on interference.
  6. Arnold was just filling time. Once you get through the one or two at bats or PAs the player had, or great performances by teammates, not much else to talk about.
  7. Povich certainly aligns with Kremer's start tomorrow. It would be nice to see him start tomorrow and easing him into the majors against the White Sox.
  8. Yeah, hopefully that is behind him.
  9. Always like hearing from Jorge. He's easy to root for.
  10. Wow, never seen that one. I'll take the win though.
  11. Heasely is one of those guys that just tenses up at the major league level.
  12. Yikes, it was 8-2 when I left the American Legion and 8-6 with no outs (now one) when I got home.
  13. Showalter has to stay healthy too. He always look liked his arm was about to break in two on every throw.
  14. Yep, it was Heasley. He's been pitching outstandingly in AAA so we'll see if he's a better version of himself then the guy we saw at the beginning of the year.
  15. https://www.mlb.com/news/pitchers-to-have-tommy-john-surgery-twice https://apnews.com/article/tommy-john-surgery-multiple-a6d8cd51afbe3078acb78c5b66934b0d
  16. I never saw this posted. Basically he was just bad for the Orioles.
  17. I've always been on the Stowers' band wagon and while i do think he comes with a significant whiff (so does Cowser) he's going to produce if given regular playing time.
  18. It has been extended time for sure. His defense is really valuable though and while Cowser can play in CF, he's definitely a downgrade range wise.
  19. Its a real shame. We knew there we were probably on borrowed time with Means and unfortunately, it appears he did not hold up. This reminds my of the Matt Riley situation. He came back, was never fully right, then blew it back out and needed a second surgery. Came back and was never even close to the guy before both surgeries. And that was at a younger age than Means. I hope he can maybe undergo some PRP treatments and maybe come back by the last two months of the season and still help out, but I think anything we get from him from here on out is gravy. Saying that, I'm ok going forward with a Burnes, Bradish, GRodriguez, Kremer, Irvin rotation. Povich obviously could also be in the mix, but I think they will go back to a 5-man rotation and bring up Heasley unless they want to keep working on stretching him out as a starter. That would mean Dillon Tate would probably be coming back for mop up/low leverage work.

He was serious, and don't call him Shirley! This works a lot better verbally!

These will be dark days ahead.. I fear more Melanie Newman-Palmer pairings where she comes off a fan girl and he's comes off as a dirty old man. Fun times. Hopefully Arnold will pick up most of the TV work with Palmer.
