The O's made some unbelievable smart trades in the 1960's to 1970's. Trading for Frank Robinson, Mike Cuellar, Ross Grimsley, Don Buford, Pat Dobson, Tippy Martinez, Rick Dempsey, Scott McGregor, and Luis Aparicio. Those trades really turned the O's around to be contenders. They had great GM's then, Paul Richards,Harry Dalton. I wish we could do these type of smart trades now.

Elias M.O. is finding diamonds in the rough. It did work last year.

I am happy for auto ball/strike rule. I understand it takes the human element out of the game. I believe in human error for players and managers but I don't feel human error is acceptable for officials. There is no way to prove if some officials or umpires favor certain teams, so even though it is human behavior to favor a certain player or team, it is not fair when the officials are supposed to be neutral.

How did the Yankees get a higher pick than the O's? I don't understand how a team with the 2nd best record in the AL gets a higher pick than the O's? It is not fair.

Is it possible that the O's can use their surplus prospects for other positions like for the outfield or first base?

Could Trey help our team chemistry? He could DH and he can play a decent first base. I kinda hope he comes back.

Is it possible that Elias prefers 1 year contracts to avoid long term contract commitments? Is it his plan to continue to develop a strong farm system and sign or trade for 1 year bridge gap players? My biggest hope is we sign our main players ie Rutschman, Henderson and so forth long term.

If John Means comes back healthy be could be a big help.
