  1. I think the biggest question is how long the adjustment period will be
  2. I was thinking the same thing. He will probably use Baumann
  3. And we hopefully have enough other good bats to have other DH options
  4. He broke the 2Bman's hand, or so it seemed.
  5. Maybe he comes back as long man in the pen first?
  6. Okay, I'm joking, but how often do you think he gets a break this season? He looks "locked" into the lineup. There seems to be a few people not getting a rest: Santander, Mountcastle, Adley (he DH's).
  7. I loved the movement. I agree that I'm not sure he knew where it was going at times. He did get screwed by the ump and if Mullins just takes charge in the OF, that pop fly never falls in. It almost seemed like they wanted to give Holliday an opportunity to make a big play in his debut. Irvin is what he is, a good 6th-7th starter/long man in the pen.
  8. Did he stay in and finish the game? I can't remember. I don't know their roster that well.
  9. Why would either of those teams want Hays? They will want a young prospect. We need to find a contender to trade him to. Maybe one that gets an OF injury.
  10. I bet the Red Sox 2B will have the day off after catching Gunnar's liner. His hand was on fire!
  11. Akin looks more like Cionel Perez from when we first got him.
  12. Westburg and Cowser stole the show from Holliday
  13. So...barring an injury, who's next and who goes?
  14. Hey, look at our bench. How many of those guys could start on several other teams?
  15. Is he one of the most obscure O's to ever see the field?
  16. He just finished playing in Norfolk
  17. But Hays isn't just 10 games. It's the second half of last season and spring training
  18. Would have been nice having J. D. Martinez or Mayo or Norby for the first nine games of the year.
  19. On the bright side, I watch every O's game believing we can win. Oh, how many years we couldn't say that. Tonight's game is definitely on the offense. We are just too streaky and they all seem to be on the same streak together. Look at the first two games of the year and the games since. It's like the Rangers series. The bats went silent and they had been silent for several games before then. I know it's not all Hyde's decision, but I believe he had some input on who is at Norfolk and who is on our 26 man. The relief pitching is what it is, considering we are missing three of our pitchers: Bautisita, Means and Bradish. We just gotta hold it together till we get two of those back and move Wells and Irvin to the pen.
  20. At what point does a small sample size become more than that? When does it become a regression or progression? When does it become a pattern? When can you really trust the stats for future performance?
  21. The offense is streaky, just like last season. We looked great in the first two games of the season. Now we look like the team that got swept by the Rangers last postseason. What makes things looks worse are the guys crushing it in AAA right now.
  22. Line looked good. Anyone actually watch him pitch today?
