I'm old enough to remember how Texas limped through July/August last year while we cruised on all cylinders and then in September they remembered how to hit and we forgot how to and it carried over into the playoffs. If the offense is going to slump, this is the time. They are too talented to finish the whole year like this.

They are going to the playoffs if they don't make any moves at all, they should be trading for the playoffs not to get through the season. They shouldn't waste any prospect capital on lateral moves just to make them.

Ideally, we want someone better than Rodriguez as our second starter. He's still figuring it out. If it's not a clear upgrade from him, and Kikuchi isn't, I'd pass. We have enough starters who can finagle their way through 5 innings and 3+ runs, why trade for another?

Hopefully, they do better. There is no guarantee that he will perform to any of his metrics. His pitching runs value has been awful this year and he is bottom of the barrel in Avg EV, Barrel %, and HH%. I want nothing to do with him.

Kikuchi has a 4.54 ERA, I'm assuming you are pointing to FIP or something. He gives up a ton of HRs and hits and his WHIP is trash. He strikes people out, fWAR loves that, he isn't a sure upgrade over anyone the way he's pitched this year. I certainly wouldn't give Toronto anything of value for 10 starts of Kikuchi so we get to look at how dumb it was for the next 6 years.

They might have put the ads back for the revenue while they try and work on it. I'm not sure, though.

Boston is 6 games back, not 4. I also don't believe they have the best rotation in the division.

I think they stopped when Tony had them disable all of the ads. I'm not sure how long that will last until they can figure it out.

He's given up 19 ER in his last 5 starts over 28 IP. I don't care what the metrics say, the performance hasn't been there, and we need results, not stuff+ rankings.
