  1. For a guy that’s likely 280, Bautista is pretty trim.
  2. More like one of those aces on the YouTube whiffle ball league thing my son watches.
  3. All of his pitches look like a video game. Crazy crazy stuff
  4. Hahahahaja - completely forgot. I remember seeing that. You got me. Hahahah good work btw
  5. Bullpen cart is underused IMO so sad when the driver is denied.
  6. Missed a couple games, he have a stinker since the lights out performance ?
  7. Riding the wave until it goes all the way to shore.
  8. Lol posted to wrong game thread. Got home and turned in game. Gotta say - was not expecting 1-0
  9. 1-0?????? What’s going on. Flipping bragging rights on the line boys. I have to live around these people

  11. My take on the whole thing is….it’s baseball. Sometimes things go your way, sometimes they don’t. These guys are professionals and they have busted their tails their entire lives to get to where they are. They are getting in the needed work to put themselves in a situation to be successful at all times. I’d argue that the only way to really get better(at any level) is to play games, and play the best competition possible. I don’t buy for a minute getting work in during a ST game is better than getting work in in a highly competitive environment against the best possible opponent. We've all seen the BP All-star & the amazing bullpen session. playing games makes you better. not pfps.
  12. That’s fair. I’ll agree that the vast majority of them don’t look very good. I liked the Nats & Sox. The Padres city jersey is a work of art. Best uni in sports right now in my humble opinion. Really like the Marlins city hat. Some of them are complete garbage.
  13. I didn’t say he was. I said he’s pitching like one now and having logged 4.09 years of service time at “very good” levels at such a young + his recant performance suggested he might become one.
  14. You didn’t answer the questions. These guys don’t have tailored programs? Guys get to the MLB and perform but don’t “work hard when team isn’t looking”? Playing inferior competition is better?
  15. Hates a strong word. What about them do you dislike so much? Not poking fun or anything - generally curious.
  16. You don’t think these guys have incredibly specific programs? Would it be preferable to pitch to minor leaguers in a non-competitive environment? Pablo Lopez seems to be doing aight.
  17. He turned 27 last month and his stuff has improved steadily. I’d say he’s fairly projectable having already logged 5 years MLB by age 26 at a 3.7 FIP. Increased velocity and increased control.
  18. Not sure the definition of Ace, but he leads MLB in Ks, has a 1.73 era, 2.71 FIP, and a.808 WHIP. He has not been an “ace” in the past but sure is pitching like one this year beginning with the WBC. Will he sustain it, I dunno but MN must be giddy right now with what they got even having given up an 11 WAR player.
  19. He was a stud in WBC. Havnt checked on him recently but he was sitting 1-2mph faster than last years avg during the tournament. I really wish he was on the roster.

  21. Ever been to Minneapolis in April? JK - it’s an amazing town. But the winters, early spring, and late fall age not for the faint of heart. They do support the hall of their teams, however.
  22. It took Colton about 20 games in AAA last year to get going. was looking to see if he a slow start last year but scorched A, then AA, before stumbling in Norfolk a bit.
