  1. Homie had to get tossed. Only a matter of time. Gonna get his moneys worth now.
  2. I like the bunt there. Need to get at least one run across.
  3. Vavra digs traveling by airplane. Awesome to see him come up and make an impact.
  4. One run would be nice, two would be great, three would be ideal.
  5. Perez has been darn impressive this year. What a pick up.
  6. Diaz hit a dinger tonight …..he also hacked it up on a play in RF, though
  7. Of course they all have the green light, especially your 2-4 hitters, but to put a swing like that on a 3-0 count in your third AB against that guy is pretty awful.
  8. In the air had a couple thoughts…yes a HR!! And…oh no, a few more weeks of Odor.
  9. Takes three pitches to do that? Mountcastle is irritating z.
  10. I really wish I could have seen Brooks play live! Did he really have a 48'' vertical as it appears in this photo? lol
  11. I voted No. It looks like we are at the point of having a 40 man roster crunch and I think they are going to try and preserve as many assets as possible. With that said, if we keep winning and have a realistic shot at the playoffs they have to take into consideration the additional playoff revenue generated, additional 2023 ticket sales revenue, team branding as a playoff team, and benefits of selling that playoff team to future Free Agents.
  12. Man, Y'all are lucky! I was 3 in '83 and have no recollection of that season. My dad is still mad at me for having to go to the bathroom and causing him to miss Tippy Martinez picking off 3 base-runners in an inning. All I have to go on are the "Ed-die" cheers from Memorial Stadium, Cal running around the bases at Camden, and Delmon young making the stadium shake. I can't even fathom what it would be like to see the O's in the WS let alone win. It would feel like the fabric of the universe had been ripped and we were stepping into an alternate reality. Regarding the OP - I'd say we are upper mid pack when it comes to fans. I've had a chance to visit a lot of stadiums and there are some really great baseball towns out there: Boston (hate them to a fault but have to tip the cap to the fans support), New York (see Boston), Toronto (see Boston & New York), Milwaukee, Chicago, Minnesota, and St. Louis (best in my opinion).
  13. Beautiful swing. Keeps bat through the zone for a really long time just like Adley.
  14. Happens more often than you’d think. The baseball swing is a violent motion. Swinging a 31oz bat @ 70-80mph can do some serious damage. I tore mine on a swing in a game in college and it continued to pop out for the next two decades. Will typically happen on a swing and miss trying at last second to adjust the barrel to make contact creating an awkward swing motion. Really hope for Dru that it doesn’t linger and effect his career.
  15. MiLB TV is the best $50 you’ll ever spend. When O’s are off on Mondays it gets pretty boring as all MiLB is off Mondays. Those are the worst!!
  16. I’m a big fan. Love his swing. He’s a strong kid, think he’s going to surprise a lot of people.
  17. Worked out well for Brandon Inge.
  18. Competition is a good thing. All the quality players will push each other and the cream will rise to the top. I see a lot of rotating IFs to various positions at each and every level like they’ve been doing with Gunnar & Westburg. Unreal the amount of talent in the organization right now.
  19. You just made my day….month…..year! Thanks for all the hard work, Tony. I’d need to get therapy if the hangout went away. I have maybe two friends and my father who follow the Os. I’ve never met anyone on this site and I don’t post much but it feels like a big loving family to me. So glad you changed your mind. Go Os!!!
  20. He threw an insane amount of non-competitive pitches….like 12”-24” outside of zone. Got behind almost every batter 1-0 & 2-0. Think I saw 2 or 3 batters he started off with a strike. When he throws a strike it gets hit hard. Not many cheap hits. Batters sit on fastballs because he can’t throw spinners for strikes. Gave up a bunch of absolute no doubt bombs. He would get abused at the MLB level right now.
  21. Not to mention batters are getting on base 1/3 of the time against him, his whip is higher than it’s been since his first year in pro ball and he’s getting hit fairly hard when giving up hits. I don’t think he will be up until he shows he can consistently throw strikes. It’s been a breath of fresh air this year to see BBs go down across the board. I don’t think he has a chance at success until he can lower the free passes.
  22. Elias has done exactly what he told us he would. He told us money would be there when the time was right. No reason not to take him at his word.
  23. Where I live right now I can’t get Orioles games live so I have to record. It’s absolutely brutal to try and avoid scoreboard for Os and other teams until I watch my recording. Finally a good problem to have! Keep winning!
