  1. He was 2.0BB/9 through college.
  2. I rewatched and it does look like he got it off the end of the bat. I also believe there are some faulty readings.
  3. At least he didn’t walk him.
  4. Looked like more than 84.2 (statcast). Palmer said it looked like 105. Sometimes I question the statcast data.
  5. His FB plays up because he can throw 5 pitches. Mixed speeds from 76-94.
  6. He’s landing the curve tonight. 4 for 4 with a whiff so far. Looks like he has the good stuff.
  7. I realized that as soon as he replied. It was kind of an optical illusion. I thought that aisle was going all the way to the field. That and I probably need glasses.
  8. Geoff Arnold sung the Anthem.
  9. Really fast. I guess I was assuming he was a trained singer or something. Not bad for your average Joe.
  10. OMG - that poor guy. Why did Arnold agree to do that? That was absolutely awful.
  11. I just hope we see the good Povich tonight. Hopefully he got the jitters out of the way and learned a thing or two and trusts his stuff. I'd love to see a 6ip 5H 2BB 8K 2ER performance. It will be interested to watch him after Max Fried since he gets that comparison from a lot of people.
  12. Good read. Puts his ability into perspective.s The man is truly remarkable. https://www.mlb.com/news/juan-soto-swing-breakdown Pretty Cool Gunnar gets mentioned quite a bit in this article.
  13. What in the world are you talking about? If you don't want to look at the statcast #s which is kinda wild, let's look at the traditional numbers Irvin : 2.87era / 1.181 whip / 3.63 fip / 8.9 h9 / 0.9 hr9 / 6.2 k9 GRod: 3.27era / 1.232 whip / 3.31 fip / 8.0 h9 / 0.9 hr9 / 10.2 k9 Even without the dominant #s you can see that GRod has done better. His era & whip are slightly higher, the fip is better, he gives up less hits and strikes out more. And he's also covered more innings. I like Irvin as well, but to say he's been better by 'quite a bit' is just flat our incorrect. All his #s suggest he's been a bit lucky and will likely regress as the season continues. GRod likely 5 & dive? WHAT?!?!? Grod has pitched 6ip more than Irvin has on the season.
  14. Out of all teams in the minors at any level (A,A+,AA,AAA) the orioles affiliates are #1,#2, and #5 in SB.
  15. He’s on pace for more than 200ip.
  16. Never a doubt. Never a doubt.
  17. 8 of 19 strikes so far with help from the ump. Yikes.
  18. I think those comments are fair. He was at 62% strike with 6k in 7ip. He wasn’t super sharp and still dominated. That just speaks volumes to his talent and ability. He’s must watch TV. He’s been incredible and we havnt seen him at his absolute best yet. I’m so happy he’s on our team.
  19. NC State up 5-2 in 6th.
  20. He’s 6’3” 245 and a massive human being with elite athleticism.
  21. Burnes has logged 86.2 innings so far this year. He’s only gone 6 3 times (5.2,5.2 & 5.0) Has only given up 3ER or less in every single start and has only given up 3ER three times.
  22. Love Rhino but that was another shift-ban enabled hit. I’ll take it.
