http://mississippistate.scout.com/story/1526883-coming-undone-a-cautionary-tale
"We're Auburn fans, so War Eagle! I don't even know any Ole Miss fans that I can think of."
Something even more fishy has been going on with Ole Miss recruiting the last few years. They've gone from mediocre 7-5 team to recruiting giants. A lot more going on than fake Twitter accounts.

The Tigers are having a big time on signing day.
Yeah, looks like we did pretty well, especially defensively.
-
So simple.
Peeled five pounds of onions and ran them through the mandolin. Layered about 2/3 of them in my huge crock pot and spread out about a third a stick of butter. Layered on the last third and another stick of butter. Turned the crock pot on low and cooked them for 17 hours.
I had to stir them early since they were burning a bit on the edges touching the crock. After about 3 hours I could have just let them simmer away.
Interesting. I never thought about using a crock pot for that.

Pulled about 20 ounces of "onion stock" out an put it aside. Will be using that to add flavor to gravies and such.
Divided it up into thirds and froze two-thirds of it. The rest is sitting in the fridge (aside from what I put on my egg sandwich this morning).
I might make a french onion soup out of it.
I more wanted to try the method more then anything.
What was your method of cooking them?
-
I just caramelized five pounds of onions.
Nice. Plans for them?

Coach Boom is gonna need to be a miracle worker to tighten up this horrific defense.

OK. Also, technically, Cruz was rated higher than Jimenez last offseason and so we lost our first round pick last year for Cruz. However, we already were due to lose our first round pick after signing Jimenez, so in my mind, Cruz cost us our second rounder last year.
I agree. We gave up a 2nd Rounder for an ALCS and a comp pick. Good move.
-
Well we'd lose our 1st if they sign MCab as a replacement.
Yes. I had to stop and think for a second because MCab is Miguel Cabrera in my head.
-
We get the no. 21 overall pick. Last year we gave up the no. 59 overall pick.
Your point about the suspension is valid enough, that was probably worth .7 WAR in 2013. I'll still assume that Father Time is going to have pretty significant impact on Cruz over the next four seasons.
Our comp pick is between the 1st and 2nd round, not where SEA would've picked.

Health.
Do players typically get healthier as they age?
-
I use my remote.
Every time.
Really. I've never come across anyone who doesn't like that movie.

When Tombstone is on, how can you turn the channel.

West is a nightmare this year. Obviously, I'm biased but a 10-2 Auburn team deserves strong consideration for a playoff berth. 2 road games against Top 10 teams so far and 3 more to go. I think we can win all 3, but it will take an improved pass rush.
War Damn Eagle!!

That has to be some kind of major league record, right?
I have a hockey record. I took my skate off and tried to stab someone. I'm the only guy who ever did that b
-
So we'll see him over the weekend. Cool.
I want us to light his ass up more than anyone we've faced all year. He's on the verge of getting whooped by us and everyone knows it.

Mitch Williams to take a leave of absence from MLB Network!:clap3::boogie::beerchug1:
Hopefully it is permanent.
What he allegedly did was despicable and I never cared for him as a TV personality.
Should've been fired. Disappointing this wasn't the initial response.

Holy crap. John Locke from Lost is in Tombstone.
-
War Eagle to all the folks rooting for the good guys tonight.

There is at least one Auburn player (Nosa Eguae) who played a significant role on the 2010 national champion team. He's now a senior.
What a couple of bookends to a career, with a crap filling.
14-0
8-5
3-9
12-1 (Playing for another NC)

our grandkids will be watching highlights of this game. One of the greatest games of all time.
It's certainly a long shot, but if FSU and OSU lose next week, and Auburn wins, we'll be looking at a rematch for the NC.
That would be amazing.

I know I'll never stop talking about it.
With all the hype that led up to this game, it wasn't enough really. Who would have thought the game would have been better than all the talk about it.

Big win for Auburn. I think Michigan state can beat Ohio state. If that happens and Auburn wins the SEC championship game they'll be in the BCS title game.
I've never seen anything like that. You guys are tough as nails. What a great game.
-
Auburn is 5-0 since this thread was started.
Have a greenie.

This years Buckeyes team may end up resembling 2004 Auburn.
Hopefully we eliminate that by beating Bama though.
1993 will never be forgot by me. Nix to Sanders on 4th and 15 was amazing. Those two connected on some memorable plays.
Pat Connaughton

Buck's a smart guy.
I'm no basketball scout, but Connaughton's size is going to prevent him from getting out of the D-League. He doesn't shoot well enough to be a 2 or 3 in the NBA and he's not big enough to play the 4. He plays with a lot of heart, and that helped him be a successful college player, but I don't see him making an NBA roster anytime soon.
