  1. We have a lot of depth in the outfield. Is Kjherstad, Cowser and Stowers off the table? What about Mayo? If a team wanted any of those guys in return for giving us a quality sp with a couple years of control?
  2. Because of his height really?? I mean I know it’s not your prototypical size but I mean look at Jose Altuve he’s what 5’6”
  3. Why so hard on Johnson? It’s been said he is the best prep hitter in over a decade and has a 70-80 grade current hit tool? Has a great make up with high baseball IQ.
  4. Let’s extend Mancini. I doubt he would take a short term deal. Let’s start at 5/75. I don’t think Santander alone brings back good value in trade. Out of all our prospects the guy I’d be willing to move is Stowers. We have Cowser and even Kjherstad waiting in the wings both should be ready next year. Let’s put a package of Santander,Stowers and pull pen arm say Tate or possibly Lopez together for a Sp plus.
  5. I could see us trading Mancini, Santander, Mullins, Lopez, Tate and Lyles. Hopefully net a starting pitcher that can contribute immediately. Promote Stowers, Diaz, Henderson, Westburg, Vavra , Hall and we could be just as competitive if not more.
  6. Ian Ritchie Jr. committed to UCLA is one of the top prep arms in the draft. Im hoping he's on Elias short list. I've seen him ranked between 20 and 47. In a deep prep pitching class, Ritchie stands out for a loud package of both pure stuff and control/command. The 2022 prep pitching class has more guys touching 97 at 17 years old than maybe any other class in history. But not all of them can find the strike zone with consistency. That is where Ritchie thrives. The fastball sits 91-93 on most days, up to 97 and hot in the early innings. He has a firm, tight slider up into the mid-80s with late two-plane break that he also commands very well. He also built a deeper, high-70s curveball into his arsenal with distinct vertical movement and significant spin rates. Jordan Lawlar called his breaking ball the best pitch he saw all summer in 2021. Ritchie also features a changeup he's shown excellent feel for with good arm-side fade. Finally, he's working to mix in a low-90s 2-seam fastball, deployed away from lefty bats. Ritchie has an extremely quick arm with elite mechanics and lower half strength. He's a very good bet to start long-term, and has the potential to be the best prep arm to come out of Washington since Blake Snell or Tim Lincecum.
  7. I’m sold give me him 1:1 love his attitude you can just here is passion for the game when he speaks. Sounds like he’s got the kinda instincts baseball intelligence that can’t be taught. This young man would be a great fit in Baltimore and could see him being the face of the franchise!
  8. Is Gunner destined to finish the year in Norfolk or will he get the call if he does well there and if he does well how long before he gets called up?
  9. I honestly don't think the O's will even consider just curious to see what others think. I think with Girardi out Philly in that's a ideal landing spot for Maddon.
  10. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/06/angels-fire-joe-maddon.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook Joe Maddon anybody? If the organization doesn't think Hyde is the guy for when the team starts to turn the corner might they consider Madden?
  11. How much more does it benefit Stowers to stay AAA getting everyday at bats versus being promoted to the big league club being the left handed power hitter off the bench occasionally providing guys rest until someone is traded?
  12. I get that but Mancini is a very respectable hitter and probably has a few good solid years left. He also plays better defense at 1st. I doubt Mancini would bring much in return via trade. I bring this up because could it be that Mountcastle could bring far more value in trade than Trey where it would make more since to trade him instead. The team might be better for it. Not to mention keeping a vet around like Mancini whose a true pro to mentor young guys would be a plus. I might be thinking we can more for Mountcastle than we actually could.
  13. Why not move Mountcastle instead of Mancini?
  14. I would think before these young pitchers are called up they should be going deeper into games.
  15. What's that five days rest for Rodriguez? Sound good to me. It's the right move.
  16. Might they just want to give him his off day and bring him up tomorrow or would they announce it if that was the plan?
  17. To early to tell if they’ve finally turned a corner but I’ll say this there is a swagger in the dugout that I’ve not seen in a long time and I like it!
  18. Any word on hall’s velocity last night?
  19. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mateo starts the season on the dl on reports of stomach soreness.
  20. Maybe their saving money in order to pull the brink truck up to lock the young guys up like Adley, Grayon, DL up long term.
