  1. I agree whole heartedly that it depends on the individual. Odor for instance was not great statistically but I do believe is presence in clubhouse last year helped us a lot especially with the young Latin players.
  2. I personally hope to see him log some innings there this spring.
  3. So only 20 games at 1st and that’s was in his college days. all but 1 of those games was in the summer league.
  4. It doesn’t hurt to have a guy that’s had more than just a cup coffee in the big leagues especially on a very young team.
  5. Interesting. I thought Stowers might be a fit there especially since he didn’t look to fluid in the out field last year grant it was a sss. Maybe he looks less fluid at first. Didn’t he play some 1st base Norfolk or am I mistaken?
  6. Has there been any mention of Stowers at 1st base?
  7. We’ve got the talent it’s just a matter of playing to their potential. If they do we’re playoff team.
  8. I’ve always been a fan of Zack Greinke and I know it appears he’s a shell of his former self but if we can get him at the right price I’d like to see him pitch in the Orange Black.
  9. There's no evidence to suggest that we won't continue to have one of the lowest salaries in baseball. I'm not so sure it makes sense to trade Mullins he's a good leadoff hitter, has some pop, great speed etc. but I don't see the orioles committing to him outside of the 3 years of control. That 3 years we have of him at more than a reasonable price provides great value in and of it selve. I think the right young pitcher with similar amount of control would however provide greater value. I don't expect the O's to try to extend Mullins that attention at least I hope will go to Gunnar, Adley and eventually Greyson. I'd probably like to see Bryan Reynolds get moved first just to get a better gauge of Mullins market value, unless we were offered the right pkg in return that incudes a young major league ready quality sp high upside with at least 2 years of control. If Mullins were to get moved who plays CF? Personally I think Mckenna would be an adequate placeholder until Cowser gets some more Ab's at Norfolk.
  10. Probably Wacha mainly becasue I think Wells ends up in the pen. I also don't think the O's should or will sign Wacha. I would much rather sign Greinke or Cueto. I think both will be better SP's in 23 than Wells or Wacha.
  11. Do we really want to move Cowser? Mullins is reaching the stage where he’s going to be to expensive for us to keep. So if that’s the case would it be best to put a pkg together featuring Mullins and would it be able to net us two if the four?
  12. I'd like to see us hold onto our big league guys Mullins, Santander, Hays and Mountcastle, but offer the fish either Westburg or Ortiz plus a couple fringe prospects. Of the four supposedly available is that enough and for who should we target?
  13. Forgot about those two. Tate definitely got a spot. That leaves Baker, Krehbiel, Voth and Vespi competing for the final spot.
  14. I’d like to see us add Greinke to one year deal. Give us a rotation of Greinke, Gibson, Rodriguez, Bradish, and Kremer. Bullpen of Bautista, Givens, Perez, Hall, Krehbiel, Wells, Aiken, and Voth/Vespi
  15. Let’s add some competition to the mix and go get Seth Brown. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/01/the-as-could-make-a-left-handed-power-bat-available-in-trade.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook&mibextid=Zxz2cZ
  16. The evidence would suggest Gibson is more likely to have a bounce back year than Fraizer. The pitchers we’ve acquired have exceeded expectations while position players have underwhelmed
  17. While I like Profar. He’s just not a fit for the O’s. Plus he’s out to get paid.
  18. Mateo who I wouldn’t classify as a bounce back guy but clearly someone the O’s saw something in and have gotten pretty good value in return.
  19. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/01/marlins-have-pursued-triston-casas-in-trade-talks-with-red-sox.html Fish in talks with Red Sox for young first baseman Tristan Casas. Wonder what Mountcastle could bring us back?
  20. Wishful thinking more than anything probably. Like you said nothing Elias has done suggest it will happen. He was impressive in the afl, Father Time doesn’t stand still he’ll be 24 next month. Former #2 overall pick. The organization if he shows that he’s ready could move him threw the system quicker to make up for the time he lost due to his medical issues.
  21. Me too!! The guy real excited to see especially after his afl performance is Kjherstad. I don’t see any talk of him being an impact on the big league club this year and right fully so not having played above A ball but I think if he builds off the success from the afl early in he can move fast and we could see him in June. He just might be the left handed power bat we need.
  22. Anybody else here besides me thinks it’s a good chance Kjherstad will turn out to be the left handed power bat we need this year and be up by June?
  23. I don’t think he brings back enough in return especially anyone that will provide an immediate impact. He’s more valuable to keep until Stowers, Cowser or Khjerstad are ready and show they can provide equal or better production. Then we can possibly get a decent prospect in return from a club that values a switch hitting power hitter more than a guy a year or two away from the show.
  24. I’d like to see Stowers get some time at 1st this spring to see how he does there. I believe we can get better production or just as good out of him then what we can Hosmer. After his performance in the AFL. I would not be surprised if we Kjherstad up by June. That‘ll give us another left handed bat. I’ll pass on Hosmer.
  25. If we’re in the race come the trade deadline who should we be targeting out of those guys?
