  1. I've stated before that I would be more than happy to give 20% or so back if they would release me and I didn't have to show up for the last three years. In my eyes that's a great deal. Still get more money that you should ever need and can retire in your early 30's. I'd much prefer that over actually having to show up and deal with all that travel.
  2. I looked it up decades ago due to the Gabriel song I posted.
  3. That is saying that the difference is Jetsam was intentionally jettisoned and that flotsam was not right? Because that has always been my understanding.
  4. But flotsam is the good stuff.
  5. All you get if you dredge the top is flotsam.
  6. I think current ownership would want to cut the payroll and that Manny wouldn't want to be on teams that are built to lose 100 games a year.
  7. Do you think the team would have held onto Machado through a rebuild like this? Do you think Machado would have been happy on a rebuilding team?
  8. I hope that means the proposed deal for Snell I saw the other day doesn't go through.
  9. Are you suggesting the O's add 5M in payroll? I don't think that is going to happen this year.
  10. I'm still waiting for the amazing turnaround that the Astro pitchers had.
  11. I was talking about how your reaction to being wrong was to take a shot at me. But whatever, I don't expect better of you.
  12. Any players in a trade of this sort are probably, like Davis, going to have no trade protection. I wouldn't even want to start and try and deal with that mess.
  13. Classy edit Sports Guy. You stay you.
  14. Even growing up in the 70's wasn't much MLB on TV.
  15. Sure. How much TV revenue did MLB collect in 1901? I doubt TV money exceeded attendance in the 50's. I'm slightly curious when TV money first exceeded attendance related income but I don't have the time to research it right now.
  16. It's not true, it's not even close to true. It's only been the case for a short part of baseball's history.
  17. That has not always been the case. That is just a ridiculous statement.
  18. If that is the case why did the owners fight so hard to play as few games as possible in 2020?
