Naw, game threads have always been like that. They were leading MLB with hitting with RISP and folks were still complaining about the lack of clutch hitting last year. Just like the poster that's evidently disappointed Adley is only the best catcher in baseball and not the best catcher that hits 50 dongs a year.

It's unrealistic expectations. Adley and Gunnar have both gone from hyped prospect to excellent ML player. Either could realistically have an MVP in their future.

Deadening the ball so pitchers can actually pitch to contact will push against max velo/spin. I think teams will stash an extra pinch hitter before they'd change their pitcher usage.

Defensive lapses and poor pitching. What generally happens when you give up 11 runs. To be honest I didn't watch the implosion in the 8th.
