Guys with really high uniform numbers in Spring Training are roster filler.

There is also no reason for them to have a bias. Why would they bother making projections that they know are faulty just to skew the projections against a specific team? It makes zero sense.

I'm not really trying to make much of a case either way. It just wasn't accurate to say he's been average at best. Santander has an OPS+ of 109 for his career, Mountcastle is at 114. You don't have to walk a ton to be above average. (It sure does help tho)

He has a 107 OPS+ for his career and was at 114 OPS+ in 2023.

It's not up to Boras! The player makes the decision. I freely admit that a lot of guys pick Boras for reasons that make them very hard to extend but he isn't the boss in the situation, he's the employee.
