  1. Tanner Scott wasn't blocked.
  2. That's a lie! He was born in 1949 and the Orioles weren't a team until 1954.
  3. Am I going to have to take the bus to work for 11 years?
  4. Or casual baseball fans don't have a great grasp of the market. Two major league ready pieces and a first round pick isn't a bad return.
  5. I think it is very fair to assume he isn't. I find it very hard to believe he makes more than someone like Cashman.
  6. He did give that one interview before he bought the team. Based off of that I'm expecting more of payroll than we have currently seen but nothing extravagant. Just getting up to about 20th could make a huge difference.
  7. He's replacing Gibson who pitched 192 innings last season.
  8. Nah, his belief is whatever he thinks Elias wants to do is the right thing to do.
  9. He had reverse splits last season. For his career he's pretty even. As for Wells, the lack of K's worries me.
  10. Anyone that paid for a ticket in that section.
  11. A lot of guys that hit left handed aren't actually left handed. Gunnar and Heston both.
  12. Yes and we don't know yet. Figures to be over 20M.
  13. You might want to tell Baseball Reference. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=hollid000jac
  14. Uhh huh. Because we can declare a player that hasn't even been drafted yet as a lock to be in the majors for six seasons. By that logic the O's get seven years back because the draft pick they get when he walks will give them six. If you assume every player and pick that gets traded is going to be a useful major league player for six seasons why would you ever trade anyone?
  15. Possible but that was part of the equation.
  16. Hey now. It was correct to say that Elias hadn't pulled off a major trade and question if he would be able to. When your trade deadline acquisitions are Fuji and Flaherty it opens yourself up to questions. Would be a lot harder to make that argument now.
  17. I think there is a fair chance he could average 3 wins a year over the next 4-5 seasons.
