  1. I'd figure I'd post some more music while you obsess over what I might do.
  2. It is something. It just isn't directly analogous to games. I had no idea I had my own Gambit, (capitalized even) neat! You are the one that used the word totally. Stupid word choice.
  3. Therein lies the rub. What does ready for the majors mean? Does it mean as polished as possible? Does it mean can he finish learning at the ML level while providing value to the ML team in excess of current options? I'll agree he isn't "totally" ready, but who is? Nothing you see in the minors is going to "totally" prepare a hitter for some of the absolute filth major league pitchers throw.
  4. Once again, no one is saying that. At least about Adley. I think Gunnar probably got more out the instructs than he would have playing in the low minors.
  5. Would depend on who got a hold of the information. Obviously the O's or MASN wouldn't say anything. But if someone whispered sweet nothings into Keith Law's ear?
  6. Ahh yes, rookie league level hitter Rutschman.
  7. Who is acting like it's identical to games? No one. I've read were folks were saying that players had no chance to develop last season.
  8. So he's more polished than Posey. Remind me again how long Posey was in the minors?
  9. Great, they will have Adley's replacement ready once he hits arb 2.
  10. Maybe it was the 14 years of sucking before the five year window? Three playoff appearances and one division title in the last 23 years can have that effect.
  11. His glove and raw power make him better than Severino and Sisco right now. Hell his reputed ability to frame pitches at an elite level would be enough if you are in to that sort of thing.
  12. Adley first and foremost. I'd like to see pretty much all the more highly regarded guys get aggressively promoted. Let's see if Gunnar can handle AA, same with Grayson. The deliberately slow promotion schedule makes it easier to control their promotion dates to one that provide maximum benefit to the team.
  13. You don't feel embarrassed by your co-workers' behavior at times? I wish I could say the same. It isn't rational I know but it still happens to me.
  14. I was fine with the rebuild and I'm not asking for them to sign big name free agents. But I think we have reached the point in which we should be seeing these kids ascend to the higher levels instead of holding them back for what appear to be financial reasons.
  15. Nope, I can ask to actually see the players in the majors, instead of having them have to "earn" it in some nebulous way.
  16. Or, you know, they are actually embarrassed by how the Orioles are going about things. Seems every bit as likely as them having an axe to grind. I just love the Baltimore Victim Syndrome. Everyone is out to get us! The MLB Umps, the NCAA Refs, the National Media!
  17. Because during the 2018 season they traded off every asset they could to both cut expenses and gather resources for the future. That is what tanking is.
