Don't see it. Elias likes to play service time games too much. Easier to keep a guy down then to promote him and send him back down. Maybe Jones gets the call.

I don't think Elias is going to interrupt his service time manipulation to cover the DH slot for 10 days.

I haven't looked into the data so maybe I'm way off here but he strikes me as someone who doesn't trust himself to throw strikes. I think he's one of those guys that get by in the minors by pitching around the center of the plate hoping hitters chase either balls or pitcher's strikes. That doesn't play well in the majors.

I think the O's are just looking out for his mental well being. They aren't sure if he could handle the impact of not performing well at a given level. Some guys just can't handle the weight of expectations. Check the font color.

I don't think Akin is anything more than a depth arm so I'm fine with it.
