I don't think Dan did either. Now if he had been allowed to trade Machado earlier I'd think you'd have a good point. A few months of Machado, a Britton coming off of injury and Gausman with O'Day's contract attached are not super premium chips.

Sorry I was grouping on base average and slugging with them. I don't think using raw stats to determine if someone in the minors is ready for promotion is sensible. As for how long we have to wait...I think he will be rookie eligible in 2022.

I think it is foolish to get caught up in the raw counting stats when it comes to prospects.

With Davis injured the O's are in need of the caliber of player that can managed -.7 rWAR in just 138 at bats. Those guys aren't easy to find.
