I do agree that the Rays have a knack of getting the most out of their players, but they're an aberration.

They're hurting this year from not having Blake Snell and Charlie Morton.

Yeah although umps were pretty quick to tell him that he had run out of time. It was understandable that he was upset. I'm not convinced a challenge would have changed either call though.

Boone was told by the umpires that he had run out of time to challenge and that's why he lost his mind and got heaved.

He's not a FA until 2024.

Judge was pretty clearly out, if you take the composite from both angles they showed.

Pettitte was a great comparison IMO. Overrated may have been harsh. Don't think he's underrated though. I've always thought he's been highly thought of in the baseball world.

He also had a lot of losses. He had an exceptional track record for staying healthy. 30+ starts in 15 straight seasons -- insane. Buehrle is a guy I'd describe as: Innings eater Reliable/consistent Extremely durable Will give you a chance to win every time out Things he is, in my opinion, not: An ace Elite A Hall of Famer

He was a very good but not great pitcher. His ERA was solid but nothing to write home about, but he was an innings eater for sure. Win totals don't mean a whole lot.

Walker Buehler will be there soon. He’s probably on the “borderline” level right now. Ryu would be too if he could stay healthy.

He could end up being better, Buehrle was overrated. Means won’t be in the league as long though, and his innings count will be lower.

Means throws harder than Buehrle. Buehrle was very good but he was definitely a finesse, contact guy.

1.50 ERA is pretty ace-like. Early, SSS, blah blah blah but if he ends the year with an ERA around 3, that’s a respectable ace.
