Garceau is basically the most generic play by play guy you could imagine. Nothing special but I don’t think he’s terrible. You want terrible, I give you Hawk Harrelson.
I do miss Thorne but Garceau is the least of this organization’s problems.
I think there’s no better time than now to let young pitchers get experience in tough situations. 5th inning was a prime opportunity for such for Lopez. Bad move by Hyde there.
Wouldn't have minded leaving him out there and have him work out of the jam himself. Young pitchers need to face some adversity and need to learn to get out of tough situations.
QS is a bs statistic. Would have liked to see him out for the 7th but it was a defensible decision. Not sure he was taking him out on a high note though.
Yikes. Felix used to throw really hard. Some velo drop is expected given his age but not that drastic. Definitely think he’s done unfortunately. The elbow thing doesn’t sound good at all.
RIP. Always enjoyed his insights on the Mid Atlantic Sports Report before Covid shut all that down. Very sad to hear of his passing.
