  1. Exactly. As in anything in this world, value is determined by what the market is/what someone will pay. Perhaps other teams see Mullins as a mirage and won't give us a solid return for him. In which case, you keep him and hope he keeps this up.
  2. Now that we see how the Machado return panned out, sure. But as SG said, Diaz was a top 50 guy, and you are trying to capitalize on two great months from Mullins.
  3. Thank you. Obviously if Mullins is still doing this a year from now and put a .900+ OPS in 2021, then this changes things.
  4. I see your point, and a Machado return as it existed in 2018 is probably the lowest I'd go. But we are talking about 2.5 months of success. If this is the 2021/22 offseason, and he has sustauined these numbers , I am demanding a lot more.
  5. In other words, the Machado return had more value then than it does now, because Diaz hasn't really panned out. He was more valuable then. So, I would take a package that had the same value as the trade had in 2018. I would not take a package that includes 2021 Diaz and 2021 Kremer as headliners. My point is extremely clear.
  6. But the big difference is, Machado was an established star, whereas Mullins is two years removed from being optioned to Bowie because he couldn't hit. Obviously Mullins has value because he is cheap and controllable, and hopefully the swtich to hitting left handed has yielded sustainable results, but Diaz (who was very highly ranked at the time), plus Kremer, Pop, and Bannon, is a deal you take for Mullins now.
  7. Isn't that what most trades for prospects are? Isn't that why we traded Bundy for Bradish, Brnovich, et al? I don't understand your post at all...
  8. Not the present version of them. But I absolutely would for the 2018 versions of them.
  9. You absolutely trade Mullins in the right deal. But the right deal should be close to what the Orioles got for Machado considering all of the control Mullins has.
  10. https://tenor.com/view/the-worst-gif-13248078
  11. Absolutely pathetic of the Orioles. They should be embarrassed and dragged for this.
  12. Definitely time. Wilkerson has been awful defensively, and does not provide anything with the bat.
  13. Nineteen year-old lottery ticket for a valueless journeyman? Sure, why not?
  14. 1.401 OPS in 35 ABs in AAA this year for Leyba :). Not terrible minor league numbers.
  15. Wells has been solid. One good Rule 5 selection should be sufficient.
  16. This is true. The 40 man largely consists of guys on the Orioles and Norfolk, who have been absolutely awful.
  17. Great job by Smith. I assume the organization still views him as a starter, and he was just "pushed out" by Grayson? Not a bad problem to have.
  18. I have been a Lopez guy for a while. Sure, it is a small sample size, but he has good stuff, gets K's, and was cruising through the first 3-4 innings usually. Maybe he harnessed somerhing that has allowed him to find success in the middle innings.
  19. Yup. There is so little talent on the major league roster, it's mind blowing. Mullins, Mancini, Galvis, Means and a whole bunch of (1) question marks or (2) bad players.
  20. I wonder if Wilkerson had the take sign or if he swung on his own. Either way, it was likely ball four (low and away tailing fastball) and he should not have swung. Like many people on this current team, he isn't good. But that's what they have right now.
  21. LOL. Very sad. But likely true.
  22. I like this. Ortiz maybe in the mix as well. SSS, but Westburg, as well as Henderson, has been MASHING in Delmarva.
