The Orioles have been aggressive on the free-agent starting pitching market, but have yet to land a big fish despite their efforts. However, they did sign veteran righty Kyle Gibson, who should provide innings in the back of their rotation. The Orioles also are trying to acquire a corner outfield bat and a backup catcher. They still have a lot of work to do this offseason.

I think the team is a realistic contender even without signing Rodon or Bassit or trade for a TOR.

The Orioles are never going to sign a pitcher like that unless a new billionaire buys them. Plus TOR pitchers are overvalued as to needing them to win the WS .. look at Verlander 16-11 in playoffs , Scherzer 7-7 , Verlander 1-6 in WS ? Either way .. the only TOR we will ever see here will come from Norfolk.
