To me, grey unis are like.... why? Just wear black or orange. Grey just seems like you're the lesser team. It's the least fun uni.
The Red Sox should never wear greys. Their White, red and blue unis look nice. The grey ones look like pajamas.

All you need is 9 to play. Active roster is a max not a minimum. I wonder if we will be seeing some games with <25 players on the active roster.
Realistically, hard to imagine Marlins playing within the next 10 days. Glad I don't have any of those guys on my fantasy team.
I know they aren’t the ideal model, but the Orioles have played without a full active roster before. It might not have been a good idea, but it has been done.

Ahh - like my boys John Lydon and Sid Vicious in Dallas, 1978
I always wanted to know why Johnny asked Sid to join instead of Jah Wobble.

Awesome series. Santander looked great defensively and offensively. And I haven't seen an Oriole shortstop hitting like that since JJ Hardy.
Now we get a Miami team that just lost its RF, 1B, C, and a SP to a Covid quarantine.
I never thought I'd say it, but with the 16-team playoff, this might just be interesting. The race to come in third place in the AL East and squeeze underservingly into the playoffs is on!
They have people in Bowie that can improve the back end of the roster too.

Used to be for Friday night. Anybody know what’s up? Maybe they’re just traveling light?
Red Sox wore white all weekend too (no red or blue). Maybe the league suggested this?

His opposite field double that nearly went out of the park was a nice easy swing. Makes me think that's a repeatable swing, and he can get hits on it even when he doesn't get it up in the air - because the defense is set for him to pull. When he pulls it, he's almost always grounding out into the switch - or striking out. It seems like a matter of being disciplined.
His at bats have looked better so far this season. He has hit the ball hard a couple of times and gotten out and only has one K. I still don’t think he should get much playing time after the first week, but he has looked better than he has in the past.

If Bunting is so easy why'd he only have a .144 career batting average?
That’s actually what he said. “I hit .144 and I could bunt.”

Well if a former 1-1 pick who was considered a generational talent and has developed into a perennial all star and MVP candidate (and is still in his prime years) can do it, then surely anyone can
Ron Darling says that it's not hard to bunt. He said on TV that these guys don't practice and that if they did they could bunt.

Regarding Stewart, I watched very little of the first game because I was listening on the radio, but the comment was made that all four of the early doubles were hit to Stewart in left field. He had one throw into the infield that according to Tony was “solid average“ but I’m wondering how many of those doubles were the result of him not playing them well?
They were all definite doubles, no one could have prevented them from being doubles. The pitches were left floating over the middle of the plate.

That’s quite a pitching matchup.

No offense to you. But to think he is going to be anything other than sub replacement is delusional. He has been the worst player in baseball for three years now. What else does anyone need to see?
Starting Friday they can play Mountcastle at first. He would then improve his WAR by more than one over last year.

No team including the O's claimed Hunter Wood.
That’s interesting. I wonder why no one wanted him.

The Orioles are in first place as you wake up on July 26.
