Actually...No. Norfolk has 3 catchers right now. Wynns, Cumberland and Taylor Davis. If you send Sisco down, you aren’t short. To get the 40 man spot, they can call up Richie Martin and put him on the 60 day DL, as he is hurt and out for the season. Or, put Marc Screlor on the 60. Open roster spot.

I guess having the lowest average on the team, having struggled at the plate since debuting years ago and just being really good at having pitchers hate you enough to throw at you to raise time on base percentage is enough to keep moving the line back. Every season when Sisco struggles, it’s always a cry of “he can be good, he just needs time!” At some point, that runs out. But I’m sure I’m gonna have a reply coming soon about his numbers over a few months stretch while ignoring the issues he has had since reaching Norfolk, when even Tony pointed things out and was nearly crucified for talking about people’s golden boy. But anyway, if Harvey goes, that could open a spot for Akin to start or it moves Plutko out of the pen and Akin becomes a long reliever/swing man/spot starter. Baumann is now in AA and Bradish is starting in Norfolk, so those could be two more options later this year.

Not with Severino or Sisco behind the plate...

Aside from at obvious answer that people are still gonna try and debate about... I want to see Mason McCoy come up and replace Franco. Put Stevie at 3rd and McCoy at second. For pitching, bring up Konnor Wade. He’s been almost lights out for Norfolk and the bullpen needs all the help they can get.

Question...How long do you give someone to “turn it around?” Do stats to end a previous season count? Spring Training, when the same issues carried over? Or does the line keep moving further away as long as it is convenient? For the record, Ramon Urias has 78 career MLB at bats and is a .269 hitter with a .735 OPS. Yet a lot of people couldn’t get rid of him quick enough.
