I guarantee you the twins would trade Lopez for the package they sent us. If you ask anyone in retrospect with a brain, they would make that trade 100 times out of 100. We have a legitimate starting pitching prospect and Lopez had negative value after we traded him. Relievers are extremely volatile. Especially relievers with very little track record.

I think the only real question is if Urias or Stowers play.

The plan could be for the Tides to dominate AAA. Their last winning record was 2015.

Rodriquez and Hall will be fun to watch in Norfolk.

At least we know we can move Frazier around to keep his bat in the lineup!

If Stowers doesn’t start opening day against a righty, that should give you insight to his playing time for the year barring injuries.

Mazara seems to be playing over most everyone so they must like something with him.

Maybe if Grayson works on his craft in the minors for a few more years he will be the perfect pitcher.

Is Frazier still on the Team?

May be AAA bound

It’s very possible he plays more games in an Orioles uniform than any other team.

He certainly showed big power at Aberdeen-Bowie not so much. It was also a small sample and he’s young for the level so I’m thinking his power will improve at Bowie this year.

Can I talk about Adam Frazier here?

That move got Bautista into the closer role. He had a 1.63 WHIP with Minnesota and was struggling before the trade. I would argue we would have lost more games had we not made the trade.

I’m perfectly fine with that take. I just don’t find any consistency. It’s also a shame that most hall of fames have really bad people inducted but god forbid a ped user get inducted in baseball. Look at Ty Cobb, Kirby Puckett, oj Simpson, Lawrence Taylor, Jim brown….I could go on. Also, many of these bad human beings are not merely in the hall of fame but any wrong doings are completely glossed over. Also many baseball hall of famers have admitted to using amphetamines and other methods to gain an advantage. Again, I just don’t see any consistency in how this is applied.

I find the baseball hall of fame a complete joke since they now pick and choose which players shouldn’t get votes because of steroid use/peds. I find it humorous that Gary Sheffield received 55% of the vote and Arod 35%. Bonds, arod, Clemens, etc should all be in the hall. It is designed for the best players. Feel free to write anything they want on their plaque, but the performance on the field was undeniable. I also don’t find it a coincidence that all 3 players are universal hated and a blind eye is turned to big pappi and others who have connections/suspicions because they are universally beloved.

It’s also likely we aren’t as healthy as last year and we lose at least 1 infielder for a significant part of the year. It’s good to have depth on the major league team and in the minors. I think it’s clear that the orioles are not a big believer in Vavra’s glove. If Westburg tears the cover off the ball and is solid defensively in the early going, I’m sure there will be a spot due to injury or ineffectiveness. If everyone is healthy and playing well, then that’s a good problem to have.

4.8 WAR the last 2 years with a FIP around 4.00. Definitely a useful rotation piece.
