  1. It is correct. It’s based on the amount of time you are on the 26 man, not based on starting opening day.
  2. They still can get a pick if Holliday wins rookie of the year. He doesn’t need to be on the opening day roster.
  3. I don’t understand why anyone thought Holliday was making the team after yesterday’s game. You don’t play a starter in a reserve roll at the end of spring training…..and they would have given him more reps at 2nd with Gunnar.
  4. Take a look around the league…..You won’t find many other Teams’ opening day second basemen coming into a spring training game in the 6th inning with 3 days left in spring training. The starters are either starting or resting.
  5. Don’t have a good feeling about Holliday making the opening day roster after tonight’s game. It could happen if Wong opts out or if there’s a trade, but with 3 spring games left before opening day, they would likely have him starting next to gunner at this point.
  6. Holliday and Mayo coming in at the end of the game while Wong, Nevin, McKenna start. It doesn’t make sense if you are looking to take Holliday North with only 3 more spring training days left. I still think it’s about 50/50 for Holliday and 0% for Mayo.
  7. Would love to see Mateo repeat last April. Could carry this team again.
  8. Adley catching on back to back days.
  9. Opening day lineup right there…swap out hats for ohearn
  10. Mateo scratched from the lineup
  11. Stowers isn’t eligible to get the O’s a pick. Also, I don’t believe the player needs to start on the opening day roster.
  12. Wong also continues to bat in front of Holliday in every line up. I think he has a 50/50 shot of cracking the opening day lineup and sending Holliday to AAA.
  13. I still think it’s Holliday vs Wong. Mayo doesn’t have a chance without injuries.
  14. To be fair, Soto and Judge have the 2nd and 3rd highest projected WAR by many projection systems so I don’t find those 2 ranks out of place.
  15. 3.2 innings for Perez so far.
  16. Kjerstad is also ahead of Cowser and Stowers. The Orioles value the sample from MLB last year more than spring training. You can also add Wong to the list.
  17. The final decisions will most likely come down to Holliday or Wong and then one of Heston, Cowser, or McKenna.
  18. How do our outfield prospects prove their worth if Hays, Santander, and Mullins are playing most every day?
  19. Most of the players hitting well will be in AAA when the season starts.
  20. Seems like the Orioles really want a look at Wong.
  21. Holliday needs to start playing with the A team soon. Wong seems to be the favorite to head north right now.
  22. At least 1 of Wong or Maton seems likely at this point. I think the O’s would rather have the flexibility to bring up younger players than to lose veterans who they think can help. Things could change quickly but that’s how I currently see it.
  23. Terehan could be huge for us.
  24. Might slide into that Adam Frazier spot very nicely.
