Some of his curves tonight were good but he still doesn't have the big breaker he consistently had last year, IMO. That's a strikeout pitch.

His strikeout pitch is his slider. It just looks like a curve. You're right, though, he hasn't finished people consistently with it yet.

How so? He wasn't the same pitcher last year than he ever was before that. I still see an ERA under 4.0 and a three wins so far in 2013.

K/9 is down, GB% is down, HR/9 is up.

That being said, with such a small sample size, those numbers could correct themselves with a handful of 2012-esque outings, and he did get of ton of grounders tonight.
