MLB.TV users: how to avoid the forced HD stream

Mods, I apologize if this should actually go elsewhere, I didn't see a good fit.

I'm sure everyone using MLB.TV has noticed that the high definition game stream, and the 30-60 second delay accompanying it, are being forced in the new player this year. This was driving me crazy because it makes it impossible to participate in game threads when you're a batter behind everyone else.

I found the solution online though, and it forces the old player so that you can switch to the old feed (which has a much more reasonable 3 - 5 second delay on real time). Here is the link:

And NextDef eats up processor in the Mac. It runs constantly in the background even when MLB.TV not open. And just as yet another aside about MLB.TV quality, today I wanted to listen to the Detroit radio broadcast (rather than the Orioles announcers again). Click on Detroit option....and it plays WBAL. Click on the WBAL option....and it plays WBAL. Sheesh!!
