Now granted, the last two nights there was little chance given to the team by the pitching. But I would have expected a little more fight from the offense today. Jimenez deserved better.

BTW, Ubaldo is having a fairly decent end of the season. He's almost earned his salary this year. Has been a middling 3/high 4 SP. Not bad if he can maintain this level of production the next two seasons.

I agree, I was told a few months ago by HO poster that there was absolutely nothing wrong with our offense......but I didn't believe him.

Chen gave up 2 runs in over 5 innings I believe so that's two games that the hitters can't blame the pitchers for putting them in a hole.

I realize pitching is key, but when the offense scores 2 runs or less in over 25% of their games their are issues there too. The team is too slow and dependent on the long ball IMO.

That was about as UGLY of and offensive performance as you could imagine.

This team is WAY TOO DEPENDENT on the long ball to score.
