Jones and slides

Yesterday was the second time in less than two weeks that a poor slide by Adam resulted in an out when he should have been safe (the first time was in the 1-0 loss to Oakland, when he slid with his lead leg above the plate in the first inning, which cost the team a run.) Sliding is a fundamental part of the game, and we know how Buck feels about fundamentals. Is there anything that can be done to improve Adam's sliding? Can't afford to give away outs.

I hear ya', Adam needs to slide better. At least he's actually been on base in August to commit sliding errors, unlike many of his teammates.

About twice as much as most of them. And he got the sac fly.

The way Adam Jones slides, his tucked leg (the trailing one) often makes contact before the rest of his body. Not very effective and has probably cost us multiple outs over the years.
