Sure, in a small sample he was below average, but he still has a live arm. The stuff I saw at the WBC and his inning yesterday don't scream massive regression incoming. I was not one of those people who thought us trading him was the reason we didn't make the playoffs last year. However, I still do believe he is a quality reliever that is as good if not better than many relievers we have on the 40 man now. If Povich turns out to be a nobody it's likely to be a bad trade for us. -

Conditions were bad Going forward IF defense will be good, OF defense may be a weakness Really concerned with Mullins, If he doesn't catch balls that he should easily get to, like the triple in the first, than his weak arm really makes him a liability in CF. I'd be interested in how much his sprint speed has dropped over the last several years. -

You know better than most how much trauma this fan base has endured over the years. The new crop of talent is exciting on paper, however, it will take a minimum of two consecutive winning seasons, including a deep playoff run in at least one of them, to truly draw the fan base and national interest. Once they start getting consistent prime-time coverage, people will undoubtably come. 2.5-2.7M is very attainable if this rebuild isn't a fluke. -
I'm not sure that Elias sold high on Scott and Sulser. Velez is 26 and can't get out of AA. The other two are 18 and 19 year old guys that did do much last season.
