Bleier is listed at 6-3, 215, born April 16, 1987. As you likely assume he does not throw hard, relying on pinpoint location of his mid-to-upper-80s fastball and his slider. He works the edges and the lower part of the strike zone and generates a large number of ground balls, with a 3.32 GO/AO this year and 2.33 in his career.

Bleier, originally a sixth-round selection by the Texas Rangers in 2008 MLB Draft, joined the Yankees organization as a minor league free agent in December 2015, going 2-3 with a 3.72 ERA in 12 games (10 starts) for Triple-A Scranton and recorded a 1.96 ERA in 23 innings in the Bronx as a rookie last season.

Bleier is slated to pitch for Team Israel in the 2017 World Baseball Classic alongside former Yankees prospect, Jeremy Bleich beginning on March 6 in Seoul, South Korea.

Just now, dan-O said:

Donny Hart can do this job just as well as this guy, IMO. Depth is fine, but at the cost of a still young and controllable bat like Walker? I get the guy is fringe-MLB at best, but dang. Not sure I agree with this one. He'll get claimed easily.

The O's outfield situation is getting a little crowded. Seemed like there wasn't much room for Walker, even at AAA. I think RZNJ had a post in the minor league forum about this.
