And if there is a game where the other guy gives up 5, then Kevin gives up 6.

Traditional wisdom has always been that if you have good starting pitching, that one aspect of the game can cover up for a lot of problems with the rest of your game, and you'll still have at least a decent (around .500) ball club, even if your offense is putrid.

Since our starting pitching has been above average to good almost since the start of the season, with only a few exceptions (Tillman), just how hyperbolically inept must our offense be for us to have a 6-18 record? It's just unbelievable.

In matchups with aces, he definitely seems to up his game, but just never quite becoming the ace. That is what makes elite pitchers elite and most others not.

He threw a total of 26 pitches in 3 out of the final 4 innings that he pitched.

8 in the 6th inning, 9 in the 7th inning, and 9 in the 8th inning.
