I said, "Pedro, you’ll have to be the best judge of that. You know yourself, and you know what you’re capable of doing, and you know what you can and can’t do. I know there’s a lot of stress of being in the playoffs and you like to perform when the lights are the brightest, but you’ll have to see how you feel. If you can pitch, pitch. We need you."

Martinez tried to warm up a couple of hours before the game, and it didn’t go very well.
