ARod still owed nearly $25 million by Rangers

Even for a wealthy person, $25 mil is a lot of money to lose and not be upset. But still, he isn't going to look good in anyone's eyes if he whines too much about it. After all, it was his contract that got all this started really.

Former Texas Rangers and current New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez filed an objection to the Rangers' bankruptcy plan Wednesday over concerns about whether he would receive the $24.9 million he's owed in deferred compensation.

And if you read a little more, you'll see there are three players associated with the O's who are still owed deferred salary by the Rangers. One should be obvious, the other two may not be. Without reading, anyone care to guess the names?

Without giving the name away of the second player, all I can say is wow said player hasn't played in a long time. I thought Raffy was one too. McElmore didn't cross my mind honestly. I have a good friend who's a Rangers' fan so I am kinda rooting for them should they make the playoffs this year. Had no idea they had these kind of money woes.

Raffy?

Mark McClemore would be my other guess, dunno what other players played for both teams.

Yeah' date=' Millwood was the one I figured would be obvious. Although the article says he's owed $12.9 million by Texas. Wondering if that includes the $9 million the O's are paying him this season or not?[/quote']
Mickey Tettleton and Mark McLemore with $1.4m and $970k in deferred money?!?! That goes back to contracts from 1995 for both. Jezzz....
