  1. Yeah, it;s hard to imagine they will score more. They got their two for the game.
  2. Anyone enjoying the echo on this broadcast and the split second sound behind the aactual sound? Quality MASN broadcast.
  3. It would be great if not for the fact the new humidor balls have stopped the Orioles hitters from hitting home runs.
  4. No fair. They have Jesus on their side!
  5. No need to move Wells out of the rotation yet. Hell, they haven't even let him throw 65 pitches yet. He has not looked great overall obviously and needs way too many pitches to get through innings, but I'd keep him in the rotation until at least 2-3 more starts to see how he does. If it doesn't look better, then you can move him to a bulk role or maybe a late inning guy.
  6. They should announce it for the season or at least Mon-Thurs games.
  7. That owner is obviously trying to move the team to Vegas. He figures if he can crash the attendance MLB has to let him move.
  8. So star players should be treated differently then other players? So players should just be allowed to keep yelling at the umpires for as long as they want? Mancini himself said he deserved to get tossed. I appreciate him taking personal responsibility for his actions. That seems to be lost on some people nowadays.
  9. Nah, only 19 times in 124 PAs with 22 walks. His 37.5 K% shows whatever he's doing differently is not working because I cant beleive it's the level of pitching. He's swinging through pitches that he did not last year. It's weird.
  10. I'll start making some adjustements in a few weeks with the top guys, but not going to make it off 10 games or so of play. Saying that, Westburg has certainly looked good so far this season and Cowser not so much. I wish I had some good video of Cowser to see if I can pick up anything in his swing. It's early and certainly a SSS, but the K's are shocking for a guy who barely struck out last year.

    Contact and damage

The Stower numbers have been eye opening even with the SSS. Now if the guy can stay healthy.
  12. Perhaps, but Elias/Blood fired all of them and intalled their own guys and there's no difference at best. Just saying all this overly cuatious approach to handling players is doing nothing but giving them less experience of playing the game of baseball IMHO.
  13. This is why we were taught to always "peel off" to our right after passing first base. Mancini has played a lot of baseball, he has to know if he takes a step to the left he better get back to the bag.
  14. We were always taiught to peel off to the right to not even make it close for the umpires. By rule, the umpire appears right. Mancini did make a step to his left towards second.
  15. Sometimes you have to just admit, our core up here at the major league level may just be the kinds of guys that know how to lose. They do just enough to fall short. None of them are the kinds of guys that just put the team on their backs and get it done. The more I watch this team, the more I see a bunch of losers. If they came through the minor league system up until the last few years they lost. If they've been with the Orioles since 2018 they've lost historically bad amounts of games. I dont mean personally, but I do mean profesionally. These guys just don't have that winning mentality. Between this awful start to this season, the injuries to many of their top prospects, and the organization penny pinching, fan uncaring ways, it really is tough to be fan of this team.
  16. Urias doesn't even look like he's seeing the ball at all. Those swings against the minor league signee guy were pretty embarrassing. Then he just let's him throw a ball over the middle of the plate.
  17. The Orioles are about to lose 3 out of 4 games to the A's with half their players on the COVID list. lol Losers know how to lose.
  18. Maybe Mountcastle is going to be like Eddie Murray and not hit in April every year.
  19. It does, and let's hope it's not an oblique. For an organization that claims their trainers are top notch, we sure have seen a lot of hamstring injuries and now a possible oblique injury with young players in their prime.
  20. But Baumler faced live competition in the spring training intrasquad game that Kjerstad hurt his hamstring in. If he was facing live hitters then, why is he still there now? I doubt he would have been allowed to have competed in that game if they didn't feel he was 100%. That suggests to me either he tweaked something this spring or he struggled enough that they didn't think he was ready for Delmarva. Considering some of the arms I've seen in Delmarva this year, I sure as heck hope it wasn't because he couldn't beat them out for a spot on the team.

When you can crush a ball so far that the fans of the other team in their ballpark go "Ohhhhh" all in unison, I think it's ok to do a bit of a bat flip. I didn't feel that was showboating. I'm not big on that stuff either and despise the things being done in College baseball with showboating, but at the end of the day, the kid put a charge into one and had some fun afterwards.

Which is why you won't see him moved off 3B anytime soon.
  23. That's two hamstring injuries at Norfolk, and one major one in spring training with Kjerstad.
  24. The fact that we are having this conversation shows the complete fail this organization has become when it comes to informing fans. They truly don't care if we get any information. When their computer program tells them it's time to play him, they'll play him. I mean it will probably be in a lab controlled environment where the Orioles "analytic coaches" can observe every aspect of his swing, angles and velocities of his outcomes to feed back into the computer. Who cares about the human aspects of these players playing against true competition? Right? For all of the Orioles hyper conservative ways of rehabbing players, they sure do not have a great history of stopping players from getting hurt. Inured players already this year: Means Rutschaman Diaz Vavra Hall Baumler
