  1. Yeah, he's doing a great job. He's getting a lot of the inside stuff that McDonald can;t get because they have him back in Baltimore. Its embarrassing.
  2. It's embarrassing for a High School AV club.
  3. 18 pitches for Lyles in the first two innings.
  4. Cowser has 80 level plate discipline. He's going to be very good.
  5. Interesting how much of look John Rhodes has been getting. Heard he's looked good on the back fields.
  6. Yet, they cant even put a radar gun on their spring training broadcast.
  7. Does anyone believe that model family in that Sarasota commercial is a real family? lol Those kids probably have their own families as old as that commercial is by now!
  8. I doubt MASN will ever be quality until the Angelos family is no longer part of the Orioles or MASN.
  9. Roch just cracked himself up with that Ted Baxter comment.. lol
  10. https://orioleshangout.com/battles-for-opening-day-become-clearer/ So do you agree?
  11. Yes you are. Look at your posts lately. You think anyone who agrees with something is "on our knees" for Elias and the Orioles. You used to be fairly balanced but now have gone to the dark side of just complaining to complain. It's unfortunate because you are better than that.
  12. Dude, stay on target. I know, you are in a "Sh!t on the Orioles for everything" mood right now, but good Lord, read the title off the thread before commenting!
  13. Urias very well end up the best of them, but his latest pitching waiver claims have looked really good (Perez, Baker, Krehbiel). They all have really good arms.
  14. It has been about command for Perez just like it is with Scott. Now maybe this spring is a mirage (1 walk in 5.1 IP), while Scott has looked like Scott (4 walk in 2 IP), Perez has thrown strikes for the most part. Basically he's Tanner Scott. So the team has two of them now and hopes one of them will be good this year. I like the stuff and if he has figured out how to throw strikes more often he can be a real weapon!
  15. Not even close. Bundy never had the raw stuff that either of them have and once he got into pro ball, his velocity made a significant drop.
  16. I think as a tandem they look at him as a guy they hope can get them 3-5 innings a start with the piggy back also trying to go 3-4. It's a way to try and rest the bullpen while using two "starters".
  17. They pitched him in the 4th inning today even though it was the travel team for the Rays. I don't see how they send him down the way he's thrown the ball. He's 26-years old. I think he's in the pen for sure.
  18. I'm assuming you just forgot Bautista? He pitched in the 4th inning today and has yet to be scored on. I can't imagine him not making the team and could be in high leverage situations.
  19. It would not surprise me if the over abundance of caution with Rutschman ends when they gain the extra year of control. If he can start the year in AAA playing in real games, then you have to wonder why he can't play in Baltimore on opening day. The only logical answer is they are doing service time manipulation and using the "injury" as the deniability.
  20. We'll have to see how it works out, but I think Elias has enough of those guys that should be ready to pitch in the major leagues that he won't have to go to the Spenser Watkins of the world to eat innings.
  21. Fair. I really haven't looked at Davies stuff last year to determine whether it would work or not in the AL East. As for Lyles, again, the improvements in the slider were obvious last September so apparently the Orioles are a believer that it will play. I haven't seen him all spring in a statcast game all spring so it's really hard to say.
  22. I really wish they had statcast installed at Ed Smith Stadium. It really gives a wealth of information to the fans and analysts. I did not see Mateo's error either but I believe that's his second at SS this spring. He has all the tools to be good there but I think he's always going to be a little error prone.
  23. The Orioles find a way to get a top 15 prospect in an organization for Mancini it should be considered good work. He has a skill set that is not incredibly hard to duplicate unless he gets back to the 2019 Mancini.
