The K rate can be tricky metric, if the kid as a good fastball but can't get secondary stuff across he has a hard time getting strikeouts. But he could have a good curveball and average to below average fastball and rack up lots of strikeouts. In the long run you hope the pitcher with the big fastball gains command and turns into the better prospect.

If Bencosme turns into a good defensive 2b, hitting .300 and scoring 100 runs for the Orioles, I'll take it. All these other new numbers they use now sound good but until they change how they come up with a winner and loser, runs count. Right now the Orioles have a hard time scoring runs on most starters, have a hard time putting hits together.

With Means going down and Kremer getting hurt, Bradish wouldn't have gotten called up so fast. Zimmermann's lack of effectiveness certainly hurt and then Rodriguez is probably done for year.
