  1. They will break, just look at Tampa, most of their pen from the last couple of years are on the IL. Got to find a way to get starters to go seven innings.
  2. He leaves you thinking there is more there, can't seem to do it on a consistent day in day out thing.
  3. Just watched Shane McClanahan mow the Blue Jays down for 7 innings, 3 hits, 1 walk, 10 k's. Very impressive, throwing 96-98, curve and change, I wonder if Tony thinks Hall can get to that level?
  4. Anyone else find it odd Adley didn't score on Arauz's single in the 9th? Couldn't tell if he held up on line drive or was just stopped at third. Ball was in right center field, not right at Robert, Mateo would have easily went to third with one out.
  5. It's frustrating to watch Nevin, Martin, Arauz and maybe Stewart, not many other options right now. This is the time to play them, not next year, has to be major overhaul of 40 man this winter.
  6. After last night,(most of the year) an infielder who can hit a little bit is something to keep an eye on. You might fix fielding, if your not hitting at A ball you got nothing.
  7. With Means going down and Kremer getting hurt, Bradish wouldn't have gotten called up so fast. Zimmermann's lack of effectiveness certainly hurt and then Rodriguez is probably done for year. I'm not sure Zimmermann is a keeper or not, we'll see. Looks like Hall is working his way up, has better stuff than Bradish, but has to be able to command it or he'll be in same spot.
  8. Chirinos for sure, Mancini's maybe, it still has to clear a wall.
  9. Hope power picks up, a scout at time of draft had comp as Nimmo from Mets, nice player, would hope for more from #5 pick. Nimmo is kind of passenger on powerful train, Cowser at #5 pick should be an engine powering the train.
  10. Read someone having him as Austin Hays lite, similar tools, just not as high a grade across the board. If not starter really good 4th OF.
  11. Wouldn't be pressure on his bat if O's had 3B with 8-10 hr and 30 rbi and solid defense.
  12. Hitters are out of spring training mode and weak stuff in the middle of the plate.
  13. Who is starting for the O's tomorrow and Sunday? KC announcers say Kremer and Bradish.
  14. A single to left from a LH hitter could be a good sign. Something that would be nice to see from Oriole hitters.
  15. Remember that old saying about opening your mouth and leaving no doubt.
  16. Rounding the bases he has that easy glide of a good athlete, he looks the part.
  17. Other than the two homers today, was there another ball within fifty feet of a wall? This lineup does look bad at times, and Cleveland isn't much better, but they put the ball in play. Second and third, none out, next two batters strikeout, how many times have we seen this? Held little hope for Mateo but figured Hays would get run in, fouled off two hittable fastballs then swung at a never strike pitch.
  18. Not a real good choice of changeup, then throw fastballs by him next two times up.
  19. How does "maybe" 65 wins get you a wildcard spot? This team can not put three non homerun hits together to score runs.
  20. Not sure you're going to change Mullins, Hays and Mountcastle very much. I believe this is a system wide approach, Stowers, Westburg, Henderson, Cowser and Mayo are the ones to watch going forward.
  21. Any pitch that goes through a catcher should be a passed ball, too quick to call everything a wild pitch these days. Just like errors, this is the big leagues, make the play.
  22. Makes the question of who makes the big leagues first, DL or GRod, very interesting. Don't be too quick to answer.
