  1. Problem is they're losing everyone after this season so gonna have to reload. This team would be very legit but just awful on the road and really poor from three. I wish they'd just stop taking so many damn threes as when they're off they're just doomed. Hard to believe they clawed back going 3 for 22 on 3s. Feel like they're way more enjoyable than Turgeon teams so can't really complain.
  2. Not so fast there buddy. 3 straight wins at home, including a convincing one over 21 ranked Indiana. Would think with their remaining schedule, they're in. Just a different team at home. Maybe it goes back to the ball thing.
  3. It's fine because he's making absolutely nothing and should be non awful depth. I mean better than giving Wacha 10+ million. Sure would be nice to, at some point in our lifetimes, sign or trade for an actual TOR.
  4. God I hope it does and turns into a meme. Hope he turns into a laughingstock. Imagine not just tactfully deflecting the question or GOD FORBID actually answer it. Like why has everything always been treated like such a state secret with that family? It's a friggin' baseball team. Get over yourselves.
  5. It wasn't even a hard hitting question. "What are you plans a year, 2, 5." Meaning, what is the ownership plan i.e. selling the team etc. HOW DARE YOU ASK QUESTIONS ON MLK DAY! What a POS.
  6. There are texts from the girl basically begging him to get rough with her. Anyway, we never sign TORs so we'd have to get unorthodox to get one, so I'd be in favor.
  7. They literally just had to sign one impact player and 99% of fans would've been thrilled.
  8. Yeah, that's not bad. Was expecting something totally ridiculous. We just need new ownership. That's really all it boils down to.
  9. Coming off a .612 OPS. Kyle Gibson and Adam Frazier for 18 mil, what an offseason.
  10. Looked like a totally different team. Definitely playing on empty. That four game stretch was just brutal. They don't have the depth obviously. Normally we'd have nothing but cupcakes lined up under Turgeon, maybe they'd face one legit team pre conference play. This year was just way too much but you still can't come out looking like that.
  11. Narrator: they came crashing down to Earth.
  12. Impatience? We've literally never signed a true Ace under an Angelos.
  13. Yeah was feeling a down game coming too. New to betting but waiting for games to start and betting in-game seems like the way to go when the line swings too far in one direction early on. The different ball thing really is so bizarre. We have struggled greatly on the road in recent seasons. Not sure how much of that is normal road woes but would think using a different ball doesn't help.
  14. Not sure if I heard right, but they had a 2 of 17 shooting stretch toward the end. Was only even close because Wisconsin kept missing free throws. But, it's actually encouraging they were that awful shooting and still in position to tie at the end. Made a few bucks betting on Maryland when the line got down to +8.5. Tough loss but kinda fluky (they're not gonna shoot that poorly again although they also aren't as good shooting as they were during their hot stretch of games).
  15. Yeah, those were fun times on here. Do you, or anyone, know his source? Was it Jim Duquette?
  16. It's almost like having a coach who can actually coach matters. Incredible how much smarter and more efficient this team is, which is essentially the same roster as last year. Notable exception is Jahmir Young transferring over and replacing the godawful Fatts Russell at point guard. Otherwise, Reese grew and his game really polished, can see him playing at the next level. Scott lost 20 pounds and also has elevated his game. Hart got taller as well and should be really solid. Those four guys form a really strong nucleus.
  17. He's making 37 million a year for the next decade and he has a permanent spine issue.
  18. It's really just the benefit of having such a low talent level that you had roster spots open to take flyers on almost anyone. Good teams have way less roster room, and obviously lower priority, to take on castoffs and failed prospects.
  19. Certain swing types are definitely benefiting while others are struggling with these balls. Everyone is so eager to push Trey out the door but he's the type of obp guy we'd need to turn around and try to sign/acquire. Because the minor league positional depth just isn't that great. And on top of that no team is giving us some top prospect for Trey. I mean, I guess you could package him with a bullpen arm or do Mancini plus Mullins and get a haul but, again, do we have the depth to do that.
  20. Meanwhile TB cranks out stud arms like it's nothing. Find it hilarious that no matter how many "can't miss" guys fail, people always attach the same hope to the next wave. I mean, your competition is drafting and developing guys too and most are better at development (until we see otherwise). So are you even really gaining ground?
  21. Who was even negative in this thread other than emmett in response to Bradish's post game interview? Weird post by Lurker. I'm guessing that's Kyle's friend or family member. Reminds me of the player's mom who used to post here and berate anyone who was remotely negative about him (pitcher who flamed out with the Angels, forget this name).
  22. Bundy tested positive for Covid. Must've felt miserable last night.
  23. Wonder if MLB deadened the balls. Offense is down all over. Or if it's just the humidor, since it seems to be a park by park thing.
  24. Their closer, Dylan Floro, won't be ready for the start of the season. Their setup guys really aren't that good either.
