Some act like a 4th OFer isn't an important thing. It's very important on the O's. If I'm an O's pitcher, I love having him playing LF or RF rather than someone like Stewart.
The ball are really carrying today, but any ball you hit out over the CF is impressive. That one just kept carrying. So, he's got a sliding catch in the OF and a homerun this game - great to see.
8 SO's & no walks through 4 innings of 3 hit shutout ball so far. Rutschman threw out the only attempted base-stealer. 0-0 game, Stowers batting leadoff is 2 for 2 with a double.
On the positive side, it's good to get confirmation as to whether or not Scott can't handle tough situations, and now we have confirmation - in spades - that he can't.
They better stay healthy, because if I see Stewart in LF, I'm gonna reach through the screen and... welp, it was a luxury having McKenna complete that OF defensively, but he's gotta prove himself with the bat.
And with the O's, I'm afraid she's not going to get much (if any) chance being the tv play-by-play person because Kevin Brown is a young rising star, and they're likely always going to use an ex-player for color.
That's far too harsh. While she does have a montone problem and has general room to improve on radio, she's improved quite a bit and clearly understands the game and seems to really enjoy it. And in the short bits I've seen her on tv, she's done a good job. I think she has a good future.
Towers had a couple of very solid years with Toronto, but after that, his career was mostly... faulty. He played well enough to get a nice contract with Toronto, and hopefully he saved up that money.
It's like they didn't know what they had - even though Urias has played pro baseball since he was 17 years old, and the O's had him in Baltimore 10 games last year. It's hard to understand that they played the players Tony mentioned - over him.
Thorne was a pleasure to listen to with a great sense of humor, but I think Brown is better all-around and seems more engaged into what's happening on the field.
Yes, 1 pick before - and they drafted Mayer - who looks like the best of the SS prospects to me - though I love Watson - who was easily the best value of the SS's, imo.
