  2. Going to a Braves game with a friend (he's the Braves fan) on the 11th and O's vs Rays on the 12th. We both gotta be back to work on the 13th.
  3. Bad MLB numbers and good AAA numbers
  4. Just Westburg? Yes, in a heartbeat, but that will never happen.
  5. With the pitching injuries, who do you advocate going and getting (including paying their asking price: contract or trade)? Do you think we should do nothing and trust our guys? Who do you realistically think will target, if any?
  6. With each other or with other teams separately?
  7. https://www.mlb.com/news/orioles-2024-opening-day-roster?partnerID=mlbapp-iOS_article-share I think this is a fair assessment of what the 26 man might be.
  8. Don't we have an open spot on the 40 man already anyway?
  9. What's the downside? Our youngsters have to begin the year at AAA and only come up when Hays gets his annual injury?
  10. Why did he mention Woodruff? Does he have some insight or just speculating?
  11. I have not watched alot of Holiday, but I thought that I read that he was a great fielder. Maybe I'm wrong there. I also thought Gunnar would be a better 3B than Westburg because of that arm strength. This is what I'm asking on here. You guys are real experts.
  12. This is why I think we keep Urias, and Mateo to an extent. If someone is a slump, we could see the others getting more playing time. If Holiday is not up, we are lacking left handed hitting on the IF
  13. Did Westburg play much 3B in the minors?
  14. I keep hearing a future (or present) move of Holiday at 2B, Gunnar at SS and Westburg at 3B. Is this the best defensive alignment? I was thinking it might better with Westburg at 2B, Holiday at SS and Gunnar at 3B. What do y'all think?
  15. I want one more bat, just one more, wherever you want to put him in the lineup. I want a bat with experience. I want a bat that you can rely on. I would love a power bat, but it doesn't have to be. I just want one bat that pitchers consistently try to pitch around. I want a bat so when the offense gets streaky (as our current hitters do), it can provide stability. I want one bat in case we see regression or a sophomore slump (Gunnar and Westburg). I want one bat if our rookies struggle to adjust. I want one bat for when Hays, Mullins or Sandanter land on the IL. Just one more bat.
  16. Because the Yanks have injury prone guys that will see playing time. Okay, maybe not the bottom three, but my point is that we have far more depth. If any one player on our team is injured, it is not gonna cause a make or break season.
  17. That's what I was thinking. How bout we compare the bottom 3 or 5 of the 26 man (projected) because we should have a decided advantage there.
  18. Is it just me or does Hays at 6.3 seem a little high FOR THE O'S? I get the feeling we might move on from him if we can get value in a trade.
  19. Interestingly, he hasn't posted anything except that one on the Burnes trade. Nothing for four days since.
