By naming those players, you're counting on guys who haven't proven a damn thing. The O's are a 101 win team that actually needs to improve in order to take the next step. In subtracting one player (Santander) you would be losing 28 HR and 95 RBI. I have no clue whether Kjerstad or Cowser can rise to the occasion.
Fair enough. But it's certainly not a crazy question to wonder who might be a proven run producer (not necessarily a RF) who can provide Santander's run production?
Another observation from those highlights. Mayo punishes low velocity, especially breaking balls and changeups. But the highest velocity fastball I saw was 94 mph.
Is there any evidence that he also has success against higher velocity?
It's revealing that the Terps are 4 games in and nobody has started a thread for the 2023-24 season. This team is already 1-3 and appears to be headed for a really rough road. They've now lost 3 in a row after laying a big turd against Villanova.
Very disappointing.
We all have lives. I have a FT job, also studying for the Series 66 exam (after passing the SIE and the Series 7), while also playing in 3 bands. All while being 5 months into a new marriage. There is only so much time to spend.
All I got from CBS sports... " The benefit to the Orioles also comes from a provision that is new to the CBA. Henderson's ROY win means that the team will qualify for a Prospect Promotion incentive draft pick in next year's draft."
No clue where that pick slots.
