  1. I'm assuming that they know they can't re-sign him and trade him at the deadline for a rental. Whether his new team picks him up will be remain to be seen. If he hits the market, he's my #1 choice. I should know better than to get my hopes up but this is the type of talent we need.
  2. It'd be the Orioles that would do it if given the opportunity.
  3. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/35674271/corbin-burnes-arbitration-hurt-relationship-brewers Here's hoping that Burnes hits the free agency market next year and, uh...well, we're not going to completely botch the offseason like we did this year.
  4. Remind me what indie music you're listening to right now?
  5. Dan Horine is an artist who takes baseball/football players and makes comic book covers out of them. They're limited print runs, he will sell them for one week and then never sell them again and the subject of his baseball print this week is Jim Palmer. The Palmer print isn't my favorite but the Eddie Murray one he did late last year was fantastic. He's done a Brooks Robinson one but I'm holding out for a Cal Ripken cover. Anyway, this week's print is Jim Palmer and he's got a 9pm chat with Palmer. Here's the link:
  6. I don't really care much at all in general. There's going to be injuries, guys underperforming, overperforming...this will iron itself out one way or another. It's very sad to me that one of Urias or Mateo needs to be traded because of a signing this offseason that was terrible and didn't make sense.
  7. The words are coming out of @Frobby’s keyboard brilliantly.
  8. I'd like to just see everyone get through healthy. Which already looks to be an issue with Tate and perhaps Bautista but whatever. I find ST to be incredibly boring on practically all fronts, from the performances and the ST heroes on down to the position battles to the positive reports in regards to everyone looking great to the games to the debating on who's "going north." The OD roster is perhaps the stupidest thing to debate of all, the roster shuffling happens almost immediately after the first series of the regular season. I really can't find one redeeming quality about ST unless you're going to Florida to see it in person and the fact that the actual season is getting closer. So...yeah, just no major injuries.

  10. Sounds about right. What was that rallying cry about the off-season not being over yet? Hey, It’S oNLY FeBrUaRy 15tH!!!!!
  11. I would but I don’t know how to get in touch with him. Hope this leads to more stolen bases and I think it will. They’re bigger but I don’t think they’re ginormous.
  12. It would be. I think he works hard at staying on top of everything but he also doesn't have to dig for information. Players are readily available to him.
  13. Froberto Clemente, you're one of my favorite posters on here and I loved meeting you last year but I gotta say that's the line my mom would use on me when I was a kid.
  14. He's not exactly in his 20s, is he? No, I'm not going. I can't stand him.
  15. That'd be pretty cool, sign me up for that. It's not every day you see a famous poet being resurrected from the dead to read one of his most noted works. Over the hill rock stars still touring for a cash grab is pretty commonplace though.
  16. Imagine being butthurt about a roster bubble guy opting to play in the WBC and then saying it's "having a good time with your friends."
  17. *yawns* Spring Training is boring. Only good thing about it is the baseball season is on the horizon.
  18. FFS, you bumped this and I thought there was news that he was signing here.
  19. It’s Adley and then a fight for #2. There’s no real clear choice. I could see Henderson, I could see Mullins. I could even see Mountcastle if the backup is O’Hearn and if Mountcastle is having a great season as his peripherals last year seem to indicate he was unlucky. In regards to pitching, G-Rod is an interesting choice because, as mentioned, it might be a delay in his development again. There’s also no one on the staff with his ceiling.
  20. Those are some fantastic numbers out of LF.
