  1. No man, it's all Hendrix, Mick Taylor era-ish Stones, Zeppelin, blues, jazz, Metallica and Van Halen (not Van Hagar). I know what indie music is. And it's most often terrible.
  2. I think someone needs to go listen to some bad indie music.
  3. C'mon. Does anyone here think Mancini would bring back a legit piece for this rebuild moving forward?
  4. That's the Michigan lottery, genius. Need a Maryland ticket.
  5. I don't even think we could get a lottery ticket back for Mancini.
  6. We should. And I know that SG has been looking out for his best interests for weeks now, however I'm inclined to wait to see how the rest of July plays out before making that call. At the very least, let him walk at the end of the season and he can go anywhere he wants. I'm really not interested in whatever quad-A types we could get back in a trade at the deadline.
  7. No. But I think what people are trying to say is that if you trade him, what you're getting back probably isn't a difference-maker. I see it both ways, but there's value in keeping him if you think this team is going to make some kind of a run at a playoff berth. You've said up and down for weeks now that if you want what's best for him, you should trade him to a place where he can win or something. Well, he's winning here. It remains to be seen if this is a mirage or if this is for real. But I don't think there's anywhere else he'd rather win than here. Like I said, I see it both ways, but I'm leaning towards keeping him, too, especially if they have another winning month in July. No, you won't trade him for nothing but I'm pretty sure that whatever you get back is going to be a Nevin type or two. I know, I know, I'm so wrong for not wanting to trade him but if you're getting back fringe guys, it's arguably not really worth it.
  8. I won't defend Odor's actions directed at Bautista. I'll applaud them. Loudly.
  9. Snell is such a bag of douche fluid, but I'd still want him. Highly doubt we could get him though.
  10. This is a volleyball court away from being a scene in the original Top Gun.
  11. Really happy for him. Great to see. And I hope he can keep it up, that his first half wasn't a mirage. You want to see that guy succeed.
  12. And my point to your point is that maybe the bad chemistry guys outweighed the good ones. Or maybe Odor and Chirinos are different guys now, more willing to take on leadership roles. Of course, I think Odor has been beloved by practically everyone who isn't a Blue Jays fan after socking Jose Bautista in the jaw but that's beside the point. No one said you pick guys from a list and throw them together and it's magic, although that's a 35,000 view of what building a team it is. Picking guys, throwing them together and sometimes you do, in fact, get magic.
  13. Very happy for Lopez. Great to see. I think Bautista should have gone, too.
  14. Who’s starting the Cody Sedlock appreciation thread?
  15. Also 1-2 with two walks and two runs scored. Average is starting to creep up.
  16. Adley just gave the most cliche riddled post game interview I have ever seen. Straight from the Crash Davis/Nuke LaLoosh book of how to talk to the media. Cliff Floyd asked him a question about the atmosphere of the stadium and he took the answer in a completely different direction about how the guys show up and work hard and play for each other. It was hilarious.
  17. He should get some ROY votes. He won’t rack up a bunch of saves to win it but he should get some recognition.
  18. I wish my high school Spanish teacher graded like Frobby.
  19. It’s always hilarious to me when a team is doing well and some of the popular guys in the dugout are guys whose mere presence offends the armchair GMs. Yes, I’m specifically looking at Odor and @Sports Guy. I didn’t want Odor either but it’s clear that his teammates adore him and he’s had a few big moments this season. Is his attitude and the knowledge he imparts on his teammates quantifiable in the way an .800 OPS is? No. And it drives people crazy. I believe in chemistry, but @DrungoHazewoodfails to differentiate between good chemistry and bad chemistry. The arguments that some guys on this team were on bad Rangers teams and the 2002 Orioles filled with veterans are silly. Team building through stats is fun, sure. But IMO, watching a team like this or the ‘89 team is way more fun.
  20. AHHHHHHHHH SO MUCH FUN AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
