Hunter Harvey's back and surpassed his career-high in MLB innings pitched with good results. It's actually surprising to see he only got 23.2 IP total with the O's with all the attention he's gotten.

I will be bummed if the Yankees get Soto, but the year they are having, the long drought by their standards, the annual 40-man crush needing its Gallo purge, the redundancy of Volpe-Peraza, the scrubs at the 3rd outfield spot they won't want to play in October....a lot of it doesn't look good.     Aaron Judge diplomacy maybe working against, and Soto maybe saving them for a desired Judge over-commit would be another bitter bit if it happened.

Hopeful LAD dives in on a unique property.    If anyone would take on the Strasburg $$$, maybe its NYM.    Even if Soto is +$200mm, Strasburg-Corbin nearly balance that out.

Rosenthal, who is acting as the Lerners mouthpiece, basically said that adding Strasburg/Corbin while diluting the return for Soto ain’t happening.

Lerners want to get this done before they sell.  Soto can take his time.  Hence the leaks of the trade rumors.  All in all, I don’t think they get an extension done by the deadline and the trade doesn’t happen either.

  3. Anecdotal, but there is one house in my neighborhood that is not moving.  It’s not obscenely overpriced.  My neighbor just put his on the market at about 50k over the Zillow estimate.  We’ll see how quickly that sells.

A podcast I listen to stated that the median PITI payments of new purchases in the country has increased 91% over the past three years due to increased house prices and interest rates.

Damn, it’s tough out there.  I sold my house in like 5 minutes but there is nothing out there.

The lack of inventory is astounding to what this time of year normally is.

What are you doing in the meantime?  Are you staying in your sold house for a period of time?

We have some friends (military) who moved to Miami.  They sold their house in April but stayed there rent free until this weekend so they could finish out the school year.

I have noticed some local inventory not selling as quickly as they did in the Spring.

I have a rental where my tenants moved out after seven years.  I had a sell/rent decision and found new renters.  Not sure if I’ll be kicking myself for that decision for the next 3-4 years.

Mark Belanger, Luis Aparicio, Cal Ripken, Jr., Miguel Tejada, JJ Hardy, Mike Bordick?

Your mind doesn't need changing.  It needs to be opened.  Lol

If you extrapolate the 13 innings and 11 attempts Ty got at SS in 2009 over a career, it’s statue worthy.

I would not be surprised *at all* if even with the Apple TV app or on Apple TV channel, the blackout is still in place. I do subscribe to Apple TV (Ted Lasso says "howdy and thanks, Beard") but I may have my VPN on just in case before I fire up the app.

I live in an area where the Orioles and Nats get blacked out.  I was able to see the Nats a few weeks ago when their game was on Apple.

  7. Bitcoin was 61539 about the time when this thread started.  It is now about 30k.  50%+ loss.

    S&P was 4680 and is now 4008. A little less than a 15% loss.

As far as storage costs for silver mentioned upthread…https://www.cpomagazine.com/cyber-security/coinbase-hack-attributed-to-a-multi-factor-authentication-flaw-that-allowed-scammers-to-steal-cryptocurrency-from-6000-accounts/amp/

There’s no FDIC protection in most of the crypto space.

So It looks like I have Covid that I caught from my daughter and it feels like the flu so far. The weirdest symptom is everything is smelling like popcorn or burnt popcorn.

I started noticing it yesterday before I knew, I was getting sick.

See if your doctor will prescribe you Paxlovid.  I’m on day four since my positive test.  Don’t feel sick anymore, but am fatigued as hell.  Slept to noon, did about 2 hours of work, and don’t feel like doing much else.  I get tired super easily.

I don’t think they missed out on him.  Hamilton is a far superior player and I’m not convinced they would have taken him.

I wasn’t saying that.  Hamilton was the right pick.  I mentioned that before.  The Ravens killed the first round from this outsider’s perspective.  But they were linked to Davis and IDL in general.  Now that IDL1 and 2 are off the boards, would Bal be willing to give up something from their 438 remaining picks for a very good, but not elite, 1 tech?

  10. Got to hand it to the Ravens.  They absolutely killed it tonight.  Stayed patient and got two potential Pro Bowlers.

I’m a Washington fan.  Would rather have Hamilton instead of Dotson + 3rd + 4th.

The key will be how many, if any, WR and QBs go in the top 10.

And then, do all 3 tackles go in the top 10?

Seattle, in total rebuild mode, is a prime candidate to trade up with imo.

    My stab at top 10 is 2CBs, 2WR, 3OL, 3 Edge.

    Hutchison

    Thibideaux

    Walker

    Stingley

    Ickey E (NC State)

    Neal

    Gardner

    Williams

    Cross

    London

  12. Any interest in giving up one of your 100 third and fourth round picks to go up to 11?  Say Gardner’s gone and Stingley is available at 11.  Minnesota has a good chance of taking him at 12.

Are there any expected top 10 guys you’d go up and get if they slip to 11?
