  1. Well, first of all I think the chances someone picks him is probably like 10% tops. The probability he sticks on a MLB roster all year is probably like 1% I just have a hard time seeing him as a MLB 3rd baseman. And I think we could find people of about equivalent skill to those you listed on the waiver wire/FA pretty easily. Besides, We've got Henderson and Westburg rapidly ascending the system and Mayo is looking like a stud. Dorrian is a stop-gap at best
  2. I would be shocked if anyone claims Dorrian and doubly shocked if he sticks all year. He's not the kind of player people take in the Rule V, and he's not close to being one of our best prospects
  3. I could actually see someone grabbing Peralta. He's made big strides this year and could probably pitch okay out of a bullpen
  4. If so, I'm all but certain no one is going to take him. 21-year-old outfielders out of high-A ball basically never get taken
  5. He really falls off the mound when he throws. If he keeps pitching like that, I don't care though
  6. So it seems he's kind of range-y at 2B, but the throwing isn't good?
  7. I think Tyler Wells is a good Major League pitcher that probably every team would like to have on their roster in some capacity. No idea if he's a starter though. If the team wants to stretch him out to see, I can't imagine that will somehow make him an ineffective reliever if it goes poorly
  8. Is McKenna hitting these home runs off premium velocity in AAA? I recall Tony said he has real trouble catching up to Major League fastballs
  9. I don't hate trying him in high leverage, but the guy was pretty good for about four innings for a while. I kind of like him in long relief when one of our other starters inevitably implodes
  10. .790 isn't bad for a catcher. Besides, it's small sample. Looking at Mullins though, you've got to wonder how many switch hitters would be better served giving it up
  11. I like zero homeruns in 25 IP. That always seems to be the Achilles heel of our pitchers
  12. I thought this was the Cody Sedlock 2001 thread. Why aren't we discussing the girl who gave him cooties or the kid who spilled his chocolate milk?
  13. I'd like to see him as a long reliever before we cut him, but I'm super done with him in the rotation
  14. I think your plan is decent, but a lot of our prospects will probably underperform even your modest projections. This isn't a knock on the Orioles so much as it is the way prospects are. I don't think it's likely we can get to .500 for $20M. Possible, but pretty unlikely
  15. I don't recall us having more minor league injuries this year than usual. Wouldn't surprise me if we're doing well in that regard.
  16. With him and Mullins we could have the shortest outfield in MLB!
  17. I meant to say every team. He wouldn't start for every team, but he'd start for a majority of them
  18. There are 13 shortstops that have qualified for the batting title this year with an OPS higher than .700. And Greiner is probably a better defender than a good number of them. He wouldn't be a starting shortstop on any team, but he'd be a starting shortstop on the majority of them. I do agree it's a pretty big "if" that he can OPS .700 in MLB
