Nothing worse than following on Gameday and seeing a blue baseball.....in play.....run(s) Fuji is frustrating.

Ah. That would make sense for him to be splitting more at A+ now that he's reunited with Willems. Just Checked BBref. Willems was promoted on 5/28 and in that time, Willems caught 16 of 30 games he played and Bassallo caught 22 of 39 games (56%) which is close to what he's caught in his brief Aberdeen career (53%). Good call. You're likely right about the pitchers holding runners better as they mature.

Small sample size so far, but he has thrown out 35% of runners. Juts noticed an interesting trend: In DSL he threw out 26% In FCL he threw out 31% In A he threw out 33% And in A+ he's thrown out 35% so far. I always look for guys that improve as they move up. It's interesting that his Catching deployment is different so far in A+. Not sure if that's a function of it being a long season and they are trying to take it easy on him towards the end, or if there is a bit of a shift in how they plan to use him moving up. In A he played 51 of 81 games at C. So far in A+ he's played 8 if 15 games at C. 63% down to 53%. Again, SSS but something to keep an eye on.

They could do a Memorial Stadium type temporary fence from Elrod's corner to the foul pole and make that area for fans. I don't think this will happen. I really enjoy the new configurations. I also don't see Mayo hitting any wall scrapers.

112 EV is crazy, especially for the age. When looking at EVs, to get a better sense of their true ability you want to look at 90th percentile EV. That will give you a much better picture on who the batter actually is over avg. EV and max EV. I don't know if those stats are available for the A ball guys.

I think the only thing knocking Basallo off the C position would be if his bat is truly magical. Having watched him play a good bit, he receives and blocks the ball well, and he has a cannon that is very accurate.

Salas hit 9 dingers and OPSd .837 while playing mostly as a 16 y/o this year. He's 6'2'' ~190 an he turned 17 72 days ago. He's gonna hit. If you haven't seen his stroke, it's a thing of beauty.

Tough call. Both will be good. Hard not to say Salas @ 6'2'' and 17 y/o. A lot can, and will, happen in the next 2 years. Will be interesting to see how these two compares as they go through their careers.

Make that 4/4. Add a double... He played 51 Games at C in Delmarva, 21 at 1B, and 9 at DH. So far in Aberdeen he's played 6 at C, 4 at 1B, & 3 at DH. Slightly different deployment so far.

Knocked his first double tonight. Added 2 more SB for a total of 13 (14 if you include FCL). He hasn't been caught yet. In 3 years at Vandy he was 130 for 143 in SB attempts.

He. Keeps. Hitting. 3/3 tonight with his 2nd HR. O's might have #1 prospect again going into 2025....

I don't see them adding any meaningful FAs. I expect them to sign or trade for a RP or two. Mateo and Frazier get replaced by Ortiz and Holliday. Santander to 1b full time. Kjerstad to RF full time. Cowser as 4th outfielder, DH, or in AAA as backup for an injury. I think trade chips will be guys getting expensive: Hays, Urias, Santander (maybe). Imagine they will trade for RP. I think adjustments to roster will mostly be internal.
