  1. Favored? No. Going off how we played them in the series earlier this year, do we match up and have a chance? Yes. We outscored them and could have swept them. There are no certainties in baseball. But the team as will be constructed in October very certainly has a chance to beat them.
  2. I could see Rangers making that move. I think Dodgers prioritize their prospects. Keeps payroll down so they can pay out big for players they want to bring in.
  3. Last series we out scored them 15-12. Why wouldn’t we be able to beat them? Seems we match up pretty well. We have had a talent infusion since. I like our chances.
  4. Why do that when they only have to wait 2 months to sign him and retain their prospects?
  5. I think all 3 have the skill set to have a legit chance.
  6. Stowers & Norby have been top 100 prospects. Stowers has MLB time. All 3 are ready to play MLB. Again, not saying it gets the deal done but that’s a significant haul.
  7. Not a bad start and by no means nothing to sneeze at. 18 years v. 1/2 is massive. All 3 of those players have significant value. Not saying it gets it done, but imagine it won’t be very far off.
  8. I agree that is best case scenario. I’m def not expecting it, but that possibility/outcome is in play.
  9. A friend of mine plays for Vandy so I have had the chance to see Enrique play a bunch in person and have watched dozens of games and even more highlights. I’m absolutely thrilled with this pick. 1. The man is a hard worker and is driven. 2. He is a joy to watch. He does something every game that will make you shake your head. 3. He has power. Watch him hit in BP and watch what happens when he squares it up. The ball goes. I’ve seen him with oppo pop and pull pop. His game power hasn’t quite emerged, but it’s in there. 4. His swing is kind of a function of his speed. If he can get the ball in play, it’s been a hit the majority of his career because of his other worldly speed. I’ve seen him beat out a routine ground ball to second base. 4a. He can hit. He will hit the ball to all fields. He had a great eye and walks more than he Ks. 5. Because of his mental make-up I’m confident the Os Dev team can work on his swing and get the most out of it. 6. CF in OPACY doesn’t dictate an overly strong arm. See Mullins. But OF in Camden dictates speed and range. 7. Short porch in RF will exaggerate his currently limited in game power. 8. Kid is an incredible teammate. Following him on IG you’ll see him constantly building up his teammates. I can’t wait to watch him patrol CF at OPACY.
  10. https://www.camdenchat.com/2022/10/13/23398931/orioles-prospects-john-rhodes-reed-trimble Old article but a good write up on his skill set. With his injuries he’s only really played 1 full season ~600 ABs. He is still relatively young having been a draft eligible sophomore. He has speed, power, and athleticism. From all accounts sounds like he has the prerequisite drive as well. I wouldn’t count him out. He could very well break out and emerge on the prospect scene in short time if he can stay in the field. Sounds like a rash of random injuries.
  11. Judging by them never having pitched an inning of relief in their professional careers I’d say “not likely”.
  12. Ortiz, Norby, Stowers, Prieto would be an absolute massive haul for anyone. Heck 2 of the 4 would be a great haul.
  13. Grayson……and John. They will 100% add bullpen arms. Means, Bradish, Grayson in playoffs with Wells & Kremer as a backup is fine by me. (Assuming Grayson & Means are performing to their talent level). Means coming back healthy and productive is the ultimate trump card.
  14. Sometimes it just takes one tweak to kick the confidence into full effect. Good read.
  15. Nothing on the injury but a good article nonetheless: https://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2023/jul/10/former-chattanooga-christian-star-john-rhodes-a/
  16. Is Rhodes the kid from Kentucky that had a fairly gnarly injury right after-or-before being drafted? Off to the interests for more info.
  17. I think McKenna would be a great get for another team as a MLB ready OF. I don’t think we have seen the last of Stowers. Great guy to have as ins. Policy for an injury. When you starting working on catching and you already play IF & OF chances are your path to MLB has shrunk significantly. I don’t think we ever see Vavra in Bmore again.
  18. Somewhere around page 55 of this thread.
  19. I think Mr Splash was Frazier all along. He’s still trolling this thread with his 2 HR last night after being banned.
  20. Look at it as a good branding opportunity for the development team, building future trade equity with the As, and a great opportunity for a kid who was blocked here.
  21. The low OPS guy just came down from the majors. This lineup is absurd and has graduated 2 impact bats already this year.
  22. Norby hit #12 today. 2B & BB also
